Is the Earth warning us?

Since the south asian tsunami, I've come to realize that the Earth might be warning us for something catastrophic to happen. Just yesterday there was another huge 8.2 richter scale earthquake in Indonesia, and Mt.Fuji is starting to rumble in Japan. The Earth is physically changing, and I think the most noticible sign is our weather, due to global warming and the ice caps melting, even if you dont think it will effect you, it will, even if it means the generations after us. We need to try an understand what the Earth is trying to communicate, because if we dont we might end up victims instead of saviors, which I think is our purpose here on this planet.

 

CO2 emissions have no effect on tectonic plates nor volcanoes. none.

Natural disasters happen all the time, and will happen long after were gone... there are volcanoes and earthquakes on other planets in our solar system, are they trying to warn us too... or is a proximity thing... like if theres an earthquake in Indonesia the earths trying to warn us, but if theres a quake here the earth is REALLY pissed?

Guessing the cause of natural disasters on planet mood swings is what they did back in the stupid ages.

 

If a earthquake happened here I would have said 'I told you so'.

All I'm saying is that the natural disasters are happening more frequently and have been grouped together in a short amount of time, which got me pondering whats going on with the earth.

 

I think 'big' disasters happen and have always happened on a regular basis..sure not in any great frequency in the space of a normal human life span ..but they do .

 

yeah i think they would have hit america or something if they were warning us, ahaha, no im kidding, i'm in america, so you guys can rest assured your okay, ahah i kid i kid ....its very possible though that its some kind of sign i think, but no one pays attention to that and human life and what were doing to each other and the earth, were more concerned with the scientific location of the exact origin of the earthquake or something like that i read in the paper and how many are "feared dead"? so i guess its pretty safe to say were fucked either way...

Do you have any evidence that they're happening more frequently, or are you just observing?

Maybe you're just starting to notice more.

A natural disaster happening somewhere in the US sometime isn't exactly a premonition.

 

With the advancement of technology, comes increased flow of information and speed of communication, as such things seem to speed up, or to occur more frequently as we are ever more aware of such. Or something.
Also possible is as you get older you perception of time changes, haveing experienced more time alll seems less spread through time as you come to grasp the meaninglessness that actually is time.

 

That is so pessimistic..sure we have messed the planet up but thats because we were running before we could walk.. Like coming up with E=MC2 then dropping the result on a nation.... The Two world wars and all the advancements and crap that they generated seems to have clouded things in more ways than one.

Being old..i can't notice any diffrence in time..just depends if i am busy or not.. I appreciate 'time' can be deemed a meaningless scientific notion..but tell that my boss as i am rolling into work five minutes late .

Its not about being pessimistic or optimistic, its about being real.

 

I think we are actualy more inclined to help and do our best for the enviroment now more than ever..possibly because of mistakes of the past but were getting there... (yes ok sometimes i wear rose tinted glasses)... I don't know many civilisations that did not eventualy burn themselves out one way or another.

 

How is saying the planets having its time of the month 'realistic'?

 

oh i try and 'keep it real' but you can look at things with a certain jaded perspective if you wish ... I keep all that cynicism for my love life or lack of it.

Perhaps you've come to the conclusion you're being real, but really have only altered your own perception of what real is?

 

Now that is deep man.. Seriously..Yeah personaly i have over the last few years.. The more broad your your awareness is and the more people you meet the more i think and re evaluate.. yeah i know some of what shaba is saying has the a element of truth in it..but i just think its comeing at it from a very strange place..no offence to him..
