Your brothers names on on your body, reminds me of my older cousin Ed.
He has a beautiful tat on his shoulder , a heart with the name "Judy" in it.
He got this when he was in the navy, problem is he still has the ink and has been married to Lois for over 50 years.
Like I said , ink is forever............................Dennis aka Alaskan............

PS.. I have one tattoo on my body. It is a yin-yang on my shoulder. I was 20 years old, drunk and on R&R in Bangkok from Viet Nam. I wish someone would have stooped me from doing that. I've had to look at that damn thing for 37 yrs.

I don't think that's weird at all. My first tattoo will be angel wings and my brother's names. I can't wait to get it.

Well, I guess whether it's weird would depend partly on WHERE you want to have their names tatooed on you. Like, on what bodypart do you want their names to be?

I think it's sweet. My brother had his son's name tatooed across his stomach. It's a deep expression of love to have the permanent mark of one you cherish on my body.

I have a wedge of swiss cheese on my right calf. I shouldn't make stupid bets when I've been drinking...

Anyhoo, my daughter has her brothers names inked on her, one on each wrist with their birthdays. I think it's cute. Shows how important her family is to her. Now if she got "Daddy" on her ass I'd be totally weirded out and proud all at the same time...

Edit: She's 21 and I raised her and one brother one my own, so I could say "I built that ass and it has my name on it" but that really would be weird.

My big brother died of brain cancer in 2002...when I got money that my sis in law sent me it went to add onto a tattoo with my brothers initials there in memory of..so no I do not think it's weird to add your brother. tattoos are to have special meaning or to tell a story

I dont think its weird I love tatoos but I personally wouldnt get a name tatooed on me. No ones not even my own, but maybe if I had someone die like my mother, god forbid or lets say a child then I would get there name put on me. I have one tatoos in between my uppershoulderblades that I got when a friend of mine that I cherished O so much died when I was about 18. I still think of him daily. I dont think there isnt a day when I havent. I have found myself in situations where I felt overburdened or whateva and rubbed my shoulders and felt that he was still with me. I guess in a way it keep me closer to him an that unknown feeling I have that someone is watchin over me. Call it god, whateva u want. My tatoo is a butterfly and its sort of like a metaphor, like the growth and metamorphasis of a butterfly. From cacoon to butterfly:) If that makes sense.....The tatoos also is multicolored which reminds me of my tye dye wearin days back in school. I designed the tatoosI have myself. The one tatoo resembles a drawing I saw that reminded me of my friend that was an angel with multi-colored wings. So yeah I think that its all up to the individual. Good luck but think about it for a long time before you go an get it. It is permanent and will be with you forever. But then again you might like that aspect of it. You will have a lasting impression of someone you cherish, dedicated to them foreva:) Peace

Well, my only thought is that you said "they are my everything." While I love my sisters, they are no longer my "everything." I have my own kids, and my husband, and at this point in my life they are my everything.
That said, tats are very personal. I have a couple, and other people might not have any desire to have the one's I have. Do what you're comfortable with, just keeping in mind in most instances tats are forever.

    Peace and Love,
    Bridgett

It's wonderful to be so close to your family. And I say why not? They'll always be your brothers, that will never change. Friends and lovers come and go, but a close family is forever.

I have every intention of getting a tattoo in honor of my beloved grandpa who died in 2005. What better way to immortalize and represent someone?

why not a picture of somthing that reminds you of your brother...i think its a bad idea to tattoo anybodys name on your body. besides its more artistic to go beyond language and create an image that resonates all that this "other" means to you.

I don't think it'd be something you would ever regret, which is the only reason I'd ever oppose somebody getting a tattoo. It's a beautiful and sentimental idea- I just got a carnation on my lower back for my mom (her favorite flower) because she's given me the world, and I know it's something I'll always wear proudly :)
