Whenever anyone (especially on videos or TV broadcasts) uses the word "barefoot," the word is said rather quickly or in a slightly lowered voice, suggesting the word isn't proper for polite society. "Not wearing shoes" is usually the preferred alternative. "Barefoot" seems to have some magical (perhaps sexual) power that people would prefer NOT to hear. Because the word has "bare" (as in naked) in it causes it to be cordoned off from "acceptable speech" just like "Fuck! Pardon my French." Rant over. Now back to your regular program already in progress.

Most people don’t not like to see or hear the word barefoot or bare feet. And you don’t see any people walking around barefoot anymore not the in the sixties and seventies and eighties. Most people think barefoot or bare feet are not sanitary and that people that are barefoot or live a barefoot lifestyle are homeless or Poor .
