Is it disrespectful to go to the dentist in flip flops?

I go in sandals and kick them off when I get in the chair. It makes me comfortable and the dentist a bit more tolerable. Same with the doctor. Easier to do the nerve test on my feet if I don’t have to pry them out of shoes and socks. Why they poke my toes with the little tiny needle is beyond me.

 

Your feet ain't the end of you, your dentist is looking at.

 

my dentist is the best. i had not gone for 13 years, she just drills and fills and seeya. half an hour. it's awesome.

 

There's no way I'm waiting around for an hour after my appointment time. I waited 30 minutes once without so much as an acknowledgement they were running behind. After a half-hour I told the receptionist I couldn't wait any more and left. She looked at me like I had 13 heads but the most I've had to wait since then is 10 minutes.

 

I'm always wearing thongs/flip flops/chappels. Why should it bother any dentist? Healthy & smell-free feet.

I hadnt even though about it TBH i wear them to the dentist and Kick them off In the chair and She was OK with it.

How the hell do you know a week in advance that you're going to want to wear flip flops on a certain day? Man, you crazy!

Not at all. Did just this today without thinking twice about it.

 

I think I wore shoes once or twice,the rest was flip flops,painted nails and toe rings. My hygienist gets a kick out of me painting my nails! She's in a band and is way cool!

 

Yea, I think it's kind of sexy when a woman compliments you about your feet.

A pedicurist working on women's feet, sounds like a dream job to me.

 

since the dentist's job is located at the other end of the body, I don't see the point.

 

When I go to the dentist I usually take my shoes off to get comfortable and she has no problem with that she knows I hate shoes and always tells me to take them off. Friday I had an appointment and decided to go completely barefoot. I checked in no one noticed I waited in the waiting room no one said anything. When she came into the waiting room to get me she didn’t say anything then about ten minutes later I noticed you were barefoot did you leave your shoes in the waiting room I said no I came today barefoot. She said I know you hate shoes so the new normal is for you to come here barefoot I don’t ever what to see you in here again with shoes on. So that made my day
