Amsterdam to stoners is like Disney World to children. Most Stoners want to experience Amsterdam.

I'm not sure, but the British have made an ill image, especially the football supporters: they're always drunk and ready to fight! So watch yourself!

The doormen are not anti-British and 90%+ of British people visiting Holland cause no trouble at all.

"always...ready to fight!"...er yeah right, personally after a trip to Greyarea I can hardly reach for the biscuits let alone try to fight someone...I did have a fight once though...it was with Christopher Frevell...we were both 9.

I'm sorry, that's not my opinion but that's what people think of British youth. I don't thinks so because I went several times to Uk, but it's what stupid people think, I just tried to warn you, ok?

I think that when it comes to tourist (in Amsterdam), there are a few stereotypes.. and for the guys from the UK, the 'noisy, drunk football supporter' would be the one.

BUT I think that everyone understands the difference between a stereotype and the 'general people'.. at least, I hope so :) I was sitting in the sun on the Dam yesterday and there was this typical stereotyp group of british guys: wearing football shirts, pushing eachother jokingly, being loud, noisy and probably already drunk etc. They looked like they had a real good time, but because of their 'loud' attitude, people around them looked a little uncomfortable. However, I'm sure that lots of other tourists from the UK past me that day as well, but I didn't notice them because they didn't stand out.

Only the ones that do stand out make the stereotype.. but I guess that bouncers don't judge people from the UK in general, 'cause that would be plain discrimination. I can understand however if they would refuse a group of loud, drunk guys.. no matter what country they're from.
