A quick poem from today. I have not shared a poem of mine before, but I plan to open up more with my writing. The group here has made me feel comfortable with sharing my poetry.

    Ironics and Elusion

If only the mirror of my soul ran two ways
a hand of mine would reach your window
and after a look through cupped hands into your dusty headspace,
I would pull upon the rusty locks
with sharp glances towards the door I'd work
Because I know, ready, you lurk behind
    Ironically
    You know what you want
But I know you don't know a thing
and I know what of me I have to give
though so close you elude me
    unwanted it remains
