iron maiden

this forum needs an iron maiden thread!!

are there any other fans of this band??

and what are your favourite albums??

I would say that Number of the Beast, Seventh Son, and Killers are amoung the best..

 

No one sings quite like bruce.

 

Can't say what my favourite albums are. I love Iron Maiden and Killers. But the albums Number of the beast, Piece of mind and Powerslave are great too. Just like Somewhere in time and the 7th son are in their own way

I think I enjoy the albums 7th son of a 7t son, Iron Maiden, Killers and Piece of mind most, though. I also saw them live twice with Bruce, once in 2000 and in 2003. Saw Bruce solo at the Wacken festival, where I also saw Di'anno and Blaze live. Great band, probably my favourite heavy metalband.

 

I saw maiden back in 2000. man it doesnt seem that long ago.....

at that show, it was the first time I ever heard "fear of the dark" I never really got into their 90s material, and hearing it live just blew me away

 

Fear of the dark is a great song for liveshows, indeed. Just like Bring your daughter to the slaughter of their '90 stuff.

I saw them at ozzfest and they stole the show.

 

wtf, I think bruce stuffed more than just a zucchini in his pants for that picture, its more like a summer squash.....

 

Ahh I dig Iron Maiden.. I wanted to go to OzzFest sooo bad... But...

Never got to see them.. I would have to say Number of the Beast is my favorite.

 

One of the few heavy metal bands I like.

 

I saw maiden and yngwie years ago. I like bruce, but DiAnno was singing for em when i was introduced, and I always preferred the songs with him. They can get a bit pretentious, but I like the B sides that show their sense of humor.

Such as Black Bart Blues!

 

saw Maiden a few years ago, very good show, even if Dio was better. luckily i did see them with Bruce, i always liked him the best. my favorite song is Revelations, amazing riff, they played it when i saw them too.

 

Iron Maiden is awesome.....I liked "Piece of Mind" that was a really good album

Blaze Bayley - misunderstood genius or pretender to the throne who was discarded like a skidmarked pair of pants once Bruce decided he was tired of not selling records?

 

Bruces soloalbums did sell and I don't see what makes Blaze a genius.

 

another maiden fan here! afraid to shoot strangers, can i play with madness, the wickerman, rime of the ancient mariner and hooks in you are some of my favs.

I haven't listend to much iron maiden in my time, but what I have heard is pretty awesome.

 

Fuck yeah they did!!!Too bad some asshole was egging them.What was up with the PA/Amps turning off?...Anyways they still blew away every band there...Maybe even Sabbath.
