I'm about to move and I have 3 cats. One of them is especially skittish and I'm worried about how she'll adjust. So, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to introduce them to the house and help them adjust to their new surroundings.

yea one thing is cats often will go back to where they used to live (its amazing how far a cat will travel :S)

One tip for getting them to stay is to put cream on the feet when they get to the house before you let them wonder about. They sit and lick off all the cream and after that point they have a memory that when they are there they get cream and will return. It worked for out cat when we moved her from my step mums house.

Well...they're not outdoor cats. I'm just wondering how to get them comfortable inside the house. and to make sure they remember where their litter box is, etc.

It should be easy if they're house cats! But to reduce the amount of stress it's meant to help if you shut them in just one room for two or three days with their litter box and food etc. Then when they are released into the rest of the house they will always have someone fimillar to return to and feel safe in.

Set them in there litter box wherever you choose to keep it. The cats will not forget where it is once they have been in it. If you ever move it just make sure you put them in it again as soon as you move it.

As far as the cats adjusting to the house you can try to confine them to a certain area, but you may want to just let them explore at there own pace. The more they can adjust to where familiar sounds are coming from the less stressed they will be. Good luck in your move and with your cats.
