Hi all, I created a webpage. It's an intro to the health, environmental, and animal benefits, of making your diet more based on plants. Even if you don't go vegetarian or vegan, even eating a bit less animal foods.. even 1 meal a week being vegetarian or vegan, does still help... so that means helping more is easy the page i made is very informative, and peaceful. It's straight-foward and doesn't contain any graphic pics of the animals... so it's safe for humans of all ages to read. For those who want to learn more about the animals, with photos, there are links. the page is helpusall.com/foodsummary i welcome any feedback on it.. always wanting to know how it looks to others. And feel free to share the link anywhere else on the web where it's welcomed get your self free of the advertising and traditions, and create your life as you want
I'd create a separate page for each topic. Many, many net users are in need of information broken down. Plus, every new page is a new entry into your site. Don't use blue text on blue background. For people who are colorblind, that information disappears. Thanks for the HF link!
Hi, thanks so much the blue font on blue background is a good idea... I do have different sections of the page... http://helpusall.com/foodsummary.html#HEALTH http://helpusall.com/foodsummary.html#ENVIRONMENT http://helpusall.com/foodsummary.html#ANIMALS they are all on the same page. Or do you feel a separate page for each would be easier; less long of a page, and more easy to read and digest? what is a HF link?
i made a big upgrade to the site, which makes it even more readable and user-friendly. those previous links won't work anymore now. the new link is www.helpusall.com/foodsummary.html ( helpusall.com/foodsummary will work also, and is easier to type, but it won't let you back to the previous site it was linked from ) i've received a lot of good compliments on the site, and really think it's one of the best for anyone wanting to know credible accurate info about the health, environment benefits, and an intro on animal benefits, of a more-plant-based diet. thank you hipforums, and moderators who maintain the forums
i've nbeen doing web design sa few years & each section you have there should be a seperate page & u should make navigating the suite easy personaly ithink alsothe font sizes should be increased i'd hafta lookthrough the code but your infois only as good as the code , so people can actualy find it once youve submittedd tosearch renjines, so putting majot subject headings withing heading tags and in linktext as well as page file names (url's) will help your site get indexed as for the actual content it looked good but the small font size ..&the general blandness of the site made it difficult to bother reading (no offence meant just trying to be honnesst &helpful) making the page alittle more vissioly appealing makes the content itself seem more reputable i'd suggest a program like dreamweaver for site sdesign, & create a uniform but interesting layoput throughout the site
Personally I find it easier to read webpages like this than the glittered up ones. If the purpose of a website is to provide information through a lot of reading then a lot of graphics are just distracting. I think it looks good for what it is. I will agree that the font is a little small. You might want to increase it a little bit. Nice work!
Hey, thanks for the ideas both and the compliments.. always nice to hear after the dozens of hours of work I increased the font size, and that does looks more readable now. I am focusing the website for newbies who are looking for solidly-sourced info on the benefits.... so I'm focused on people who are more willing to sit and read, rather than casual visitors. The few photos I added do help to break the monotony, but I want to keep the focus on the substance. I also want it to come across as being what it is... just a common person sharing info, nothing glitzy. I don't know anything about major subject headings or tags or link text or page file names. I'm always up for learning something else that can help more people see the site..
