Good luck with your project :)

    1. how did you get into the "hippie" way of living? how did you get in contact with it?

I saw some films with River Phoenix in and got curious about him, read some interviews then took it from there.
Joining this forum was the real turning point though.

    2. did you easily find people that share your philosophy?

It's easy enough on the internet, being able to find sites like this. In real life there are a few people who have some similar ideas, but aren't really hippies.

    3. nowadays, do you think there is still a hippie-scene?

Perhaps, but it's on a smaller scale. And the hippies of today seems to be spread over a huge area.

    4. do you believe in the vision and the philosophy of the hippies? Do you think it's realistic?

I agree with the ideals, but am well aware of the attitudes and state of the world. Unless those change radically then the hippy ideas don't seem possible.

    5. did you visit the festival Woodstock '99? if yes, why did you went there?

    No, I didn't.

    6. What do your parents think about choir choice? Did they have an influence on it?

My father introduced me to the music, and my mother has an interest in 'alternative things' but otherwise they are pretty 'normal' really. So it was my own choice.
They don't understand/agree with everything, but tolerate it.

    7. can i determine on your image that you belong to the hippies? Are you being noticed on the streets?

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I'll wear hippy stuff, other times will look perfectly normal. Clothes don't really matter to me, so I just wear what I like without caring about creating an image.

    8. Do you think the hippie philosophy still "hot"? Did things change compared to the golden years: the sixties?

I think the philosophy has gone out of fashion, having been replaced by ideals that are almost the opposite.
Things must have changed, but I'm not really sure how.

    9. What do want achieve with your vision/philosophy/way of living?

To try and make the world a better place.
Ultimatly though it is just what makes me happy.

    10. How do you see a revival of the hippiemovement nowadays? Do you think it can achieve again the level of the '60s?

It might happen, but I'm not sure. Shall just wait and see.

    11. If you know some good anekdotes about hippies ... please tell us

    Nope, no good stories.

    1. how did you get into the "hippie" way of living? how did you get in contact with it?

Basically it was through music and my way of thinking about the world.

    2. did you easily find people that share your philosophy?

I know people that share my thoughts on most things, so I'll say yes.

    3. nowadays, do you think there is still a hippie-scene?

Of course. But it seems like it's much harder to find these days. As Sage-Phoenix wrote, everybody is spread around.

    4. do you believe in the vision and the philosophy of the hippies? Do you think it's realistic?

Sure, I believe in the hippie ideals. To us, it is realistic. I think that's all that matters; there are going to be people that are out to dismiss it, but they don't have what it takes to believe in the world.

    5. did you visit the festival Woodstock '99? if yes, why did you went there?

    No.

    6. What do your parents think about choir choice? Did they have an influence on it?

My parents didn't really have much influence on my decision, though my dad introduced me to good music. I just perfer looking at alternative ways of living life.

    7. can i determine on your image that you belong to the hippies? Are you being noticed on the streets?

Hmm...tough question. Sometimes I'll have on a band shirt that may indetify me as a hippie, plus I have longer hair, but nothing really definitive.

    8. Do you think the hippie philosophy still "hot"? Did things change compared to the golden years: the sixties?

Maybe there are less hippies out there, but the message is still completely relevant.

    9. What do want achieve with your vision/philosophy/way of living?

I'm just out to be who I am.

    10. How do you see a revival of the hippiemovement nowadays? Do you think it can achieve again the level of the '60s?

I don't believe the hippie movement will ever be "mainstream" again. But maybe that's a good thing, and maybe not. We'll never know.

    11. If you know some good anekdotes about hippies ... please tell us

My mind is blank on this one, sorry.

    1. The music and my family. Stories from hippy family members.

    2. Yes, I have many friends with the same ideals as I do.

    3. Most definately. But only to a certain degree. There are too many "young hippies" that havent quite grabbed the concept.

    4. Yes.

    5. No. I knew it wouldnt be the same.

    6. My parents have a major effect on the way I see the world.

    7. You could say that. I dont like to pay much attention to labels. I have been labeled a "hippy" in my school. But its my ideals that make me feel as if I belong in that category. (I dislike labels)

    8. Yes. Of course they have changed. Things change everyday in every way. You cant escape change.

    9. I will acheive my goal in life to become a mechanic. To set a straight life for me. To support my kids later on in life. To give my kids a good life. To plan for whats to come. Not for whats already behind me.

    10. Its still here, just not as strong. I cant answer that question with a strong response.

    11. .........
