I love firefox except for when people can't write websites and it doesn't show up on ff, or shows up all wonky/doesn't wrap right *cough*msnspaces*cough*
BTW there are probs with the latest version of ZoneAlarm v6.5.722.00 (free ver) and ie6. Stick a fork in both of them. Firefox is the only way for me...
Most spyware/malware out there that covertly self installs on one's computer is written to work with Internet Exploiter. My use of Firefox is a security decision.
Firefox is good but I have my reasons for not liking it the best. AB is good even though I've never known anyone else to use it. And Opera kicks ass and is my current browswer.
i've never really had a problem with internet exploror. well, i probably have...but not that i can remember.
Not the average Bubba/ Bubbette until they have to have their hard drive reloaded after ie has screwed up...
Opera is the only way to go. Tabbed windows, built in pop up blockers along with password management systems. I'll never use anything else on my home computer.
Not to buck the trend but I am currently running Vista Beta 2 and it has IE 7+ in it. It has stolen the finer points of firefox and other browsers. It is worth checking out at least. You can download IE 7 beta 3 from microsoft.com now as well if you want to check it out. I am currently running firefox as well because I am far from convinced that the security of IE 7+ is any better. So far the only issue I have run into with IE 7 and Vista (and it is a big one) is that java won't run on it. This is a Vista thing and NOT an IE 7 thing. IE 7 running on XP works with Java nicely.
