....the baby is technically made from sperm though so..
(people congratulating a couple on having sex and managing to create a human being from their own eggs and sperm is what boggles my mind sometimes)...

It's not like ppl usually say "congrats on having sex" or..."congrats on your sperm swimming well at the exact time an egg was released".... just "congrats that you're going to be a parent"

Yes, I agree with congratulating people on becoming parents. A child is a blessing. This is on the surface. I was just saying though, when you really analyze it further...it's really congratulating on sperm and egg meeting, right?

Well, like ... my brother and his wife are ready to have another baby and yea, i congratulated them on the baby ... but I don't really wanna even be THINKING about the specifics nevertheless mentioning them

Is it that hard to do it? Why anyone needs to congratulate to this? It is simple biological function.

 

Because it's a blessing. It's not hard to get pregnant but it's a blessing and ppl congratulate others on things like getting drivers license, graduating H.S., winning the lotto, etc.

And being a parent (tho the best job ever), is also the hardest job ever (to do it well!) so in a way... yea it is hard.
