EDIT: Thanks for all the responses! I been looking up some of the philosophers you guys posted and found many of them to be very interesting. I'm going to continue reading about some of these philosophers..maybe find some of their books to read. Again..thank you!
Allan Watts Socrates Aristotle Plato Confuscious? Terrence Mckenna Rene Descartes Immanuel Kant Allan Watts interests me a lot and I know it's selfish but it would be cool if you did it on him and taught me some more about him. He has some buddhism heavily influencing his philosophy though.
Thanks man! I will definitely look further into him. I already did some reading about Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato from my book earlier. All make some great points which interest me.
I'm glad you're here to tell us these things... Take the Professor in back and plug him into the hyperdrive!.. Han Solo ...
Nietzsche is certainly interesting, though he's not exactly a typical philosopher. David Hume is a very interesting (and slightly more mainstream) philosopher than Nietzsche; an empiricist. If you're interested in rationalism, Descartes (already mentioned) is a fine place to start. Voltaire is also great and interesting in many ways; read Candide.
Two of my favorites! Nietzsche was definately an interesting man with an incredible body of work. He was easily one of the most startling thinkers of all time. Bertrand Russell is also a fantastic philosopher.
You can't really go wrong with Plato or Aristotle considering they're the foundation of Western society. Personally though I think you should do your report on Philosoraptor.
