Interesting movies

There is a really huge, warehouse sized video store near my house where you can rent 7 movies for $7 for a week. They have almost everything, classics, arthouse movies, comedies, TV shows, westerns, foreign films, porn p)...I have seen many amazing movies as a result of this place.

I want to see something enlightening, shocking, or just plain brilliant. Any suggestions? They'll most likely have it.

I'm leaving out a lot of the best movies of 2008 which are just `coming out now in oscar season. Or the obvious Dark Knight which isn't an action movie in retrospect. More noir.
