I had a dream last night that I considered very significant. It seemed very long and involved many familiar yet unfamiliar people. It occured to me that it was heading somewhere meaningful but what I woke up prematurely from it. I have been thinking about the dream all day and playing it back in my mind but writing it down was difficult. The scenes I can recall are all pretty vague and I can't seem to put them in the right sequence. I really hope I can reexperience the dream and try to find out what it all means but unfortunately I rarely have dreams that are that vivid and going back to the same setting is probably less than likely. I wonder if there is anything one can do to improve one's memory of these types of dreams and to improve the likelihood of having the same dream again. For instance, is there a particular food I could eat to improve my lucidity? A supplement? Are there any activities i.e. smoking, sex, drug use that could be implemented or avoided completely? I do have a type of herbal smoke/tea that I found for sale on a botanical website... it's called "dream herb" or Calea zacatechichi, a plant used for ages in Mexican tribes to induce vivid and lucid dreams. I've tried making teas out of it and also smoking it but they don't seem to improve my dreams... in fact I don't believe there was ever a time when I remembered my dreams afterward. Any comments on this kind of thing?
