So what inspired you to get into music? Was there any specific thing? The more specific the better. A band is good, a specific song is even better. Do tell.

As for me, mine was the Beatles version of Twist And Shout. Great tune, Inspired me to learn the guitar because I wanted to be like John Lennon ;)

watching drummers when i was young always inspired me to play drums, but ron welty from the offspring and dave grohl's time in nirvana is what pushed me to the limit and made me take them up.
while i was drumming in one of my bands, watching my mate playing guitar inspired me to go play guitar coz he could make some really cool music. i was also hugely into the guitar playing in iron maiden and metallica.
as for keyboard playing, the guy that inspired me to get into that was rick wakeman (formerly of "Yes" and also a solo artist).

I was at some sort of get together and someone was playing a violin and I was maybe 7 yrs. old and they let me mess around with it. I ended up learning the violin, quitting, and asking for an acoustic guitar. I never learned anything on the acoustic, then I bought an electric for fifty bucks at a pawn shop and music has been my life ever since.

    Two People:
The first was Judy Garland. I remember being six and listening to one of the compilation CDs of her best songs after The Wizard of Oz and saying "I want to be like her."

A while after that, my mother discouraged me from music altogether, told me I was horrible.

When I was thirteen I heard Mama Cass singing "Dream a Little Dream of Me." And I was in love. Again. She is still my hero. And I still listen to "Dream a Little Dream of Me" everynight before I go to bed to remember th inspiration she's givin me.
