Why do lead vocalists of most heavy metal groups sound like they are constipated? (Led Zeppelin, AC-DC, Foreigner, etc.) If a female wins the Indy 500, does she have to kiss the cute girl after the race? Does 'Sports Illustrated Kids' issue a swimsuit edition? .
Heavy Metal vocals are the coolest ever. You have to sing as loud and distorted as possible to prove how much of a chest-beating caveman you are. rarrrrr
How bout a tranny or transition sexer? Remember Renee Richards in tennis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9e_Richards .
I am certain that the voices are so wonderful because of those wonderful pants that they all wear! My theory.
not a fan of metal but i will consider In Flames to be number 1. speaking of vocals have you ever heard Anders Friden? just as good on cd as live. very rare in the music world.
Why do so many 'nudists' wear shoes? And not just minimalist footwear like flip flops. Heavy shoes, even boots, with socks and plenty of lace holes. On a nude body it looks like someone is wearing combat boots. .
haha. im not sure. something to do with their diet and singing regimes? not familiar with indy 500. and i really hope not.
i think led zeppelin was a bad example; robert plant has the voice of an angel, his vocals are truly amazing.. I really don't get the tendency for vocalists in heavy metal (real heavy metal, none of the bands you mentioned are really heavy metal) to just scream and growl the whole time...seriously, what IS that? What is the point in vocals that don't sound good at all, to anybody..can anyone seriously find beauty in someone just screaming the whole time? why not just be strictly instrumental? Heavy metal is influenced by classical..why not include vocals that are also classically beautiful...heavy metal with opera vocals, now that would be awesome.
I guess you got me on that one. Plant was pretty good. He set the stage for much of the style of vocals later in hard rock. What happened in the 80s with hair bands was like an exaggerated version of Plant though, almost comical. .
