I thought the movie was Awesome It was full of Humor, Gore, and action. One of my Favorite Brad Pitt Movies Tino never Fails. GO see it :cheers2:
It seems like its a movie I would like.. I like the Dirty Dozen .. I guess this is along that kinda idea?
I had no interest whatsover until I found out it was a Taratino movie, so yeah I'll be going. I dont know wtf Brad Pitt is doing in a Tarantino movie though, guess I'll have to see
What are you talking about, Brad pitt has was in True Romance in the 90's Which is a Taranino Movie.. He use's the Best of the Best Actors and Actresses N Brad Pitt is the Most wanted Actor right now. I would assume thats why he was in the movie, plus he's an amazing Actor.
Inglourious Basterds Movie Blurb by Shale August 22, 2009 "A most entertaining piece of crap!" That's what I said to the guy at the urinal next to me after we got out of this 2 ½ hour movie. Actually, it was a great cinematic experience, especially for someone who grew up on the 1940s cinema. The style and photography of this period piece movie were excellent. But, it was pure fiction set "Once Upon A Time in Nazi Occupied France" and only exists for entertainment. Like the altered history in The Watchmen, it is a fabrication sewn together of real historical characters into a story that never happened. Altho the Nazi brutality here was as real as in history, we get to see payback by a covert band of Jewish American commandos led by Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) whose orders are to terrorize and kill Nazis, mutilate their bodies and bring him their scalps. "I Want My Nazi Scalps" This movie was rated R, tho there was very little graphic violence - outside of bashing someone to death with a Louisville Slugger, scalping dead Nazis, cutting throats and shooting people multiple times with machine guns. I guess that needn't be explained since it is a film by Quintin Tarantino. OK, there was some gratuitous violence on screen The main villain is Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) who has Shosanna Dreyfus' (Melanie Laurent) family murdered when she is a teen. She escapes to Paris where she becomes Emmanuelle Mimieux and operates a cinema. She is pursued by a Nazi soldier Frederick Zoller (Daniel Brühl) who is a famous sniper that killed 300 Americans in Italy and stars as himself in Goebbels' propaganda movie A Nation's Pride. Zoller manages to get the movie shown in her cinema and is to be attended by all the upper Nazi command, including Adolf himself. Shosanna sees an opportunity here for payback and Tarantino lets us know about the explosive flammability of Nitrite film which is stored in great quantity in the cinema house. Well, you see where this is going. Before the big event Shosanna alters the last frames of the film to let the Nazis know a Jew did them in. Shosanna Fixing the Propaganda Film Meantime, the Inglourious Basterds are working toward the same end, using a German actress turned spy, Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) to get them into the theater. Bridget von Hammersmark Don't want to give too much away, altho you can surmise there will be more killings, explosions, and gratuitous violence - but that's why you go to this movie, right? I actually enjoyed the flick. There were parts that seemed to have lots of dialogue but that too built suspense for the next batch of fire-fight and the movie did not seem too long. If you are wondering about the strange spelling of Inglourious Basterds, it is taken from a 1977 Italian film originally titled Inglorious Bastards and pretty much had the same theme of a bunch of murderous misfits who were imprisoned by the Americans but escaped into Nazi Germany.
I actually liked it a lot. The dialogue was long and at times seemed a tad excessive, but the rest of the film made up for it. The acting was flawless, the plot has plenty of suspense, and the ending was epic... Everybody in the theater spontaneously started clapping and cheering. I truly have never seen such an enthusiastic audience.
Totally sucked in my opinion... Just not a Terenteno film. Decent movie, but for him? Disappointing. To much dialouge, drawn out and boring scenes,... Had potentional, but just didnt cut it.
This seems to be a trendy movie right now, with alot of hype.Typical 'contempory' Hollywood.--Anyhow,I did not see the movie and have no intentions of viewing it either. However I noticed on the IMDb movie site, that this movie recieved a particularly large amount of bad reviews written by people who saw the picture. It was not a matter of people saying the film was okay,or could have been better etc.--Alot of the reviews in summary were saying this is a very bad movie.
It’s hard to believe in this day and age that the population still isn’t desensitized to the graphic violence and gore this movie portrays I enjoyed the movie and it was nice to see the nazis get their comeuppance Hotwater
A fair number of the negative reviews I read did not even mention the graphic violence, they just put down the movie in general.--As far as graphic violence goes, there really is no need to be graphic.Graphic violence etc. often shows a lack of skill by the film maker. And it also, even in this day and age still turns alot of people off.
I think it's the best film of the year so far, and I'd probably also put it in my list of top films of the decade. While the gore seemed a bit much at times, the pacing was brilliant-- something QT obviously picked up from all those Sergio Leone films. There was tension in practically every scene, and every scene also moved the story along beautifully. I also thought the bar scene was incredible-- actually, the above poster just hated on my absolute favorite bits of the whole film.
I want my 2 and a half hours of life back. So far Ive only had 3 people agree with me on this, but hey, your money, and if it entertained you, all the better.
