and you don't necessarily have to be in either a love relationship or a friendship. a more formal love thinking without the friendship thinking tends to go too weary.
If i was in your situation, i wouldn't tell him about your feelings for him just yet. if there are any sexual moments, then that's when he'd be more open about a romantic aspect. straight guys tend to get more freaked out from another guy saying they have feelings for them rather than wanting to do stuff naked.
