Actually India is as cheap as fuck once u get there.Apart from internat hotels in places like Bombay.

 

I don't know how much it costs to get there from America, but depending on how much you want to slum it, you can get by on $10-15 per day, including travelling around by train and eating local food, and not drinking alcohol.

If you wanted to just rent a house in the hills and smoke your brains out, it would cost even less than that.

I haven't been there for a few years so prices may have changed, but probably not by much.
