Sorry this is a bit long, but it fucks my brain in! Something that always throws my brain into a whirlpool of mystery and stupor is trying to grasp the question of, when did it all begin? and when will it end? Contemporary Science has come up with The Big Bang Theory, which most people seem to logically agree "must" have been the start to everything in the universe. When all of the matter and energy in the universe(supposedly infinite right?) was somehow compacted into an almost infinitesimal core smaller than an atom. And, for some reason or another, it become unstable and exploded, creating all and everything we now perceive to be existence: stars, planets, elements, and all of us. And supposedly, before this explosion, this nearly infinitesimal core held all of the energy that would ever be created. This seems fine and all, i guess, but my question is: What was before that explosion, and before that, and before that, and before that, and so on... To me, it seems something, namely all the energy in the potential universe compacted into that tiny "thing," cannot come from nothing. Being human, having our conception of time passing from left to right...having birth(start) and death(end), it seems that this theory of the big bang being the thing that created all we know a bit flawed. With our logical minds, if there was a start to the universe, there must have always been something before that, and before that, and on into infinity. This makes me think that perhaps our view of time is flawed, that perhaps the universe has always existed and will continue to exist forever. And this really fucks my head in, how could there be no start!!! how can something come from nothing?? aaaahhh!!! But I guess we may never logically KNOW that answer, which in fact makes me happy, because i LOVE the mystery... any thoughts? peace and positive vibes!
I've always thought that time and space are traveling around a circle, always start at the same beginning and finishing at the same end, then just repeating itself. The "Big bang theory" could have been the start of it all, but some events in the future, lead to the big bang happening, and thus making all that happened before it, happen again. I know there's still the question of exactly "when" this circle began or when time began, but there's an answer I don't the human mind can grasp or even understand
In the Beginning, a light turned on and took constant pictures revealling what was vibrating into existence. But really, we can not use the mind to comprehend where we came from, because it is beyond mind. Just look in your heart and you will find the satisfaction of that universal question. After all we're all a part of this right? So we are literaly composed of the truth. Aum Tat Sat
i get this feeling that seems i am just about to figer it all out seems like the answer will just jump in my head out off nowhere weird but it never does u know what i mean thats what makes it the greatest mind fuck or is it just me? about the big bag and a small as an atom universe what was surrounding it what is beyond the edge of the universe? lol your quosion is destind to bee answer with just another banch of quesion for the rest of time.
exactly. if it all was just a point smaller than an atom, what was outside of that? and what outside of that? and so on, and so on.... I agree, i think this question will only raise more questions, and more questions, ad infinitum... perhaps the only way to answer this question is to stop searching for the answer, to simply be and percieve the universe as equally so...just being...perpetual being and nothingness... i don't know
that one infinitesimaly small compressed peice of... stuff was just a single atom of a larger being.. we could be the larger being to a small atom that did the same thing... lol or. its supposed to collapse back to gether eventually
The answer to this is hidden from us because our entire existence is bullsht...we dont exist...we just think we exist...think about an animal like a horse that is raised around cows...eventually the horse may decide that he is a cow...now does it mean that they horse IS a cow just because it thinks so??? No it just means the horse THINKS its a cow. In the same way, we just THINK we exist
so what is thinking? what is a thought composed of? what is any of it? if we don't exist, how can we initially think we do? something is existing, is it not?
i would think everything would collapse together again due to gravity gravity is a very powerful force even my being and yours are effecting eachother, if we were both to sit still for eternity, eventually over massive ammounts of human perceived time we would be slightly closer to us it would seem that this would take an eternity, but in my opinion time only exists in the mind, our brains can only put things together at a certain rate, and that is why we experience time, in my opinion time has already run its course, and our minds are lagging behind it, in a desperate attempt to keep up with it
The most clever answer I have heard to the question "what was before..?" was given by Stephen Hawking. He said that the question is meaningless since before big-bang there was no space-time and no frame of reference, nothing whatsoever to speak of (literally nothing). He also tried to explain how the matter could come into existence out of nothingness. But even Hawking has no idea, within the frame of his own theories, what happened in the very first moments during that giant explosion. He could, to explain his theory, mathematically calculate the physical properties and condition of the matter up to the certain point immediately after the supposed bang, but couldn't produce any meaningful explanations for the very fist moments at the very beginning of it (earlier than Planck epoch). He wrote books for simple-minded laymen like yourself too, not only for super-great geniouses like myself, so you can look it up if curious (A Brief History of Time, The Universe in a Nutshell, Black Holes and Baby Universes and etc., to mention a few) Btw, he is an agnostic of Einsteinian, as opposed to Bohrian, creed ("believes that the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws" S.H.), and I observe that his innate subconscious beliefs are ultimately reflected in the models of his theories even though he may not be consciously aware of such (just like most other people). P.S. Are you a troll who re-writes the same Grim inspired post in different threads ?
it wont let me change pages Just like to point out that time might not be a circle (o) but rather an infinity (8) See with infinity, there are two universes, one is a mirror of the other, and the both converge on the same point.
Time is as much a part of the universe as space. Before the universe, there was no time, the question is nonsensical. If you're looking for answers to "What's beyond the universe?", check out string theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brane_cosmology More fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjsgoXvnStY
i am an extension of a much larger and more infinitely wise being which probably is controlling my ever thought and emotion simultaneously effecting each living and "non-living" thing. As if anything could be "non-living" in this sense.
idk, I enjoy mindfucks a lot. While reading a lot of them in the past, experimenting with psychedelics and really getting into deep deep trains of thought about life and existence, i have come to an conclusion that life is a lot better when questions are not asked over what is "known". I was all about searching for meaning and interpretations of life and existence. Life is beautiful, accept it. Questions are cool, and a little mind twist is interesting....but when it comes down to it, we DONT have a lot to be proud of while talking about what we know about life. BUT... BUT!!!! we do have what is given to us, LIFE is given to us. Embrace it. Love it. I love every moment of my life. I enjoy everything I do. Im a libra and my thoughts are the same, i try to balance everything out.
Dunno man I think humankind is making good progress in uncovering life's mysteries the big questions. Science is looking at our reality every day and with each passing day it finds weirder and weirder answers. That's how we know science is heading to the wright direction Its a bit like human being trying to understand him/her self the more she or he understands of ones self more complex he or she becomes, its the same thing with our reality we are all part of it there for all sentient beings are a way of this universe to understand its self. Trouble is the instant we find an answer more questions are born so we have a lot to be proud of we are making progress we are finding answers its just that through our eyes the finish line is only inching slowly closer. I think that its impossible to be enlighten by some one (now I will tell u the meaning of life yeah right) its a journey of the collective consciousness and then personal. Every generation is raised with certain truths of the reality, individually there are always wright and wrong truths so there's always uncertainty/more questions. But collectively the wright answer are filtered out which are passed on to the next generation. Hopefully one day collective knowledge of the humankind will reach the limit of reality's complexity which I guess could be capt by the universes constant physical laws and see the big picture. The only thing left will be to understand the mind capable of such a feat when this is done i guess only personally humans will be able to read the mind of god in turn be god in turn to be one with the universe as we already are.
