Cutting and pasting my standard words of advice.... Welcome to the forum and please don't let everything going on here scare you away... I've been in your place twice and I can tell you what worked for me. Visit each board or topic and just read the posts to get a feel of the discussions and the members. Click on "follow this topic" (white button above on the right) for ones you want to read more off. Go back to the ones you are interested in and make one or two short comments. Try to get your post count up to 20 or 30 before asking a question or posting your own thread. I know it sounds silly, but there are several members here who love to attack new members simply because they are new members. Just because it says they have a high post count and are senior member it doesn't mean they someone you want to listen to. Pay attention to their comments not their so called status. You will still see a few who love to harass anyone, if you feel that is happening to you, you can block their posts and comments totally. This feature has really made this site much more pleasurable for me. For the most part, though, you will find some wonderful people in this site. I have some great friends here, and they more than make up for the trolls.
Hi friend Christen who reply on your thread is your friend. This is not hard nut to crack to make a friend.
