I went to the store today, and I get done with my shopping, and get in line. The girl's looking a little woozy, and after a minute, she looked up at me, and I looked her in the eye, and I got the feeling something just 'isn't right', like a feeling of concern. She grabbed the counter, pointed straight at me, and half at the top of her lungs screamed 'ES MUERTE!!!' and passes out.

Needless to say, I made sure someone knew she'd dropped, and found another line, got checked out and left ASAP.

The thing that bugs me, is I felt a 'jolt' when she looked me in the eye, and it felt...troublesome.

I hope she's alright, but they were doing CPR on her when I left.

    it means 'death.'

es muerte = is (or 'it is') death.

I'm almost wishing she'd said muerto, to mean that I was dead.

and yeah 'WTF' about sums up MY reaction as well.

    lol ummmm...

    that's weird.

maybe she was pointing to something that only she could see that was behind you.

which actually is all the more creepy.

yeah, pointing at me, or directly behind me, which with her hand pointed right in the middle of my chest from about 5 feet, I don't know about the 'behind me' bit.

pardon me while I get weirded out now.

No, it meant she thought I was 'Death'. Saying I was dead would have been preferable, but would have been Muerto.

So you just left the line, checked out and left the store. I would have stayed and watched the free show, at least helped or something. Did you step over her to get into the other line?!

I'm not a cold-hearted bastard. I grabbed their manager and said 'your girl just dropped, you'd better get her some help', then went to another line, because I knew I'd be a bigger hindrance than a help, especially if I managed to rouse her and she looked at me and freaked out again.

I might be an asshole from time to time, but I'm not a professional.

I resent your implications here, bud.

'Did you step over her to get into the other line?!'

Dude, I'll let it go, because I guess you didn't read where I said 'Needless to say, I made sure someone knew she'd dropped, and found another line, got checked out and left ASAP.'

Man...nice assumptions people make here, I tell ya.

make fun of you for days?

I was in a hurry to leave, because 1-I didn't want to be in the way, and 2- Being accused of being 'Death' has a way of making one want to be scarce. At least for me.

Nah way, that makes me be like WTF? And stand around, come back the next day, be like "what happened?" Im curious and not afraid, so its just in my nature.

And I would happily let you stand there. Me on the other hand...not so much. Besides, what's with this 'I'm not afraid' comment, man? Just because you're nosy doesn't have anything to do with it. I did what was best for the collapsed person involved...got help and got out of the way. Is satisfying your curiosity worth more than a human life?

Then why the investment to insulting me, and your assertion that your ego gratification (curiosity) is worth more than my life?

in short, why should should I keep discussing this with you when it simply drags you off your path to enlightenment? Simply accept that we have different ways of doing things, be the better man, and walk away.

Youre the one getting insulted.. Take a lesson on the path, and dont take things personally.

Furthermore, how is curiosity ego gratification? I'm here expiriencing a vast all that is, through my perception. I'm going to use it, and I don't care if it offends people. I don't take things personally, all that is for us in this life, happens too quickly.

A woman dying right in front of you is a little out of the ordinary, especially after saying something that you consider her calling you death. Im just saying I would have stuck around a little while, maybe add a little to the story.
