My school has a new rule for summer school. Financial aid is only willing to pay for 6 credit hours. (I say "pay for" but its loans so I'm paying for it) I need 10 to graduate in May of 2006. So even though I will have a surplus of money in the fall and spring semester, due to the new policy, they will not apply my loan money to summer Its so fucking STUPID! So I will have to scramble and find a way to pay of those 4 credits and books and then they are gonna send me a refund check in the fall. SOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING IGNORANT!
Its $140 per credit hour I've been on the phone cutting through their BULLSHIT all day. The lady finally got annoyed by my constant questions and she is going "talk to her boss" and call me back tommorrow. I'll call every damn day if I have to I can be a persistent little bitch when I want to
my student loans don't cover summer school either my mom pays for it if I take it to get ahead but I had to pay for it last summer because I failed the class before. It was just one class and it set me back over a thousand): the policy sucks and they raised tuition so if I fail this semester I am going to be in massive credit card debt.
Ugh, school really shouldn't be so expensive. It's ridiculous all the hoops you have to jump through to get yourself a freakin' education. $140? That's awful. It's $55 or so here at our community college (i refuse to spend more money at a university when i could get the SAME education at a comm. college). It seems like many colleges are raising the charge per credit hr. That's total BS.
My problem is that they have done it for as long as I remember, they should have told someone before now so that last semester's refund could have been saved. Its stupid So while I already have enuff money in loans to cover it, I have to attempt to get another loan from an outside source. That's what they are calling me back about, if the "outside source" I have chosen will be accepted incompetent bitches
