Hello there everyone! My name is Michelle, I'm new to this site as of today. I have been searching for protests, peace festivals, etc. in my area ( Southern California, Huntington Beach) but unfortunately there aren't too many hippies around here, or I don't find out about the event until AFTER it happens, and that's not too helpful. I know that there are protests and such quite often in LA, but I haven't found any way of being notified about them. I really want to meet other hippies, and people I share interests and such with, and I'm not having the best of luck with that at Marina High School, and I am really anxious to join in the efforts and help to make a difference in the world. Well, if any of you can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thank you...peace. Michelle

hey i dont know how you feel about animal rights, buuut the kind folks at peta will most likely help you organize a demo in your area at a local KFC and hook you up with some people in your area and some free posters and stickers and pamphlets and shit....KFC really sucks though if you look into it(like most meat and animal product-based companies)), a very worthy cause i think......

I really appreciate it...I'm looking more to join into something that is already organized rather than organizing it myself, because I haven't much experience with protesting and the like, I want to get a feel for it before I take control, but I really appreciate the input!
