As I've probably mentioned more times than you guys care to hear, I worked 91 hours last week. By the end of today I'll have 3 more hours than I did at the same time last week. I don't think I can make it though. If I make it through this week I wont make it through next as that was going to be my grand finale. Does anybody know of any energy supplements that wont mess up your stomach? Stackers kill me. They make me all queezy and shaky and stuff. Energy drinks and coffee don't seem to last long enough. Anybody here tried nodoze? I think somebody told me they're just caffeine pills, but do they work well?
no-doz pills are just caffeine pills. i've used them before. are you eating healthy. upping your intake of fruits and veggies might be a better idea than caffeine pills. lots of water helps to. but yea, i've used no-doz pills, they work. used them when i did field training for army rotc back freshman year.
dilligaf was a no doze junkie for a while..i believe theres a horror story behind that one.. i use b complex, sudafeds and ginseng.. itll keep ya goin better than caffine..
NoDoze worked but always made me jittery, but they may not, in your case. I couldn't tolerate them myself. I drink coffee every day now and have gotten to the point where I can tolerate it pretty much two or three times a day. Occasionally, I'll feel wired from it, if I make it too strong. I'd tell you to try another energy drink like Red Bull or something, but since I have never tried it myself, it might prove to be a punch in the balls, and you don't want that. Hmmm, what you want is something that doesn't wire you up but doesn't wear off. Mountain Dews kept me awake at work for a while. I think those wear off too, though. Damnit.
Yeah ginseng works good. The best kind of ginseng is Siberian ginseng but the other kinds would work too.
Your body will soon enough crash but speaking as a guy who the goverment allows to work 98 hours a week and we cheated that to more like 112 hours a week here was my winner: Understand that I cant sleep more than 6 hours tops or I get headaches. Chocolate covered espresso beans, diet sprite, and little munchy food, like blueberries, little bits of meat ect. Just as I get tired pop a berry or eat some meat, take a drink of pop, slap myself in the face, blurt out something funny, shake my head. Quick walk in the cold, talk to myself ad or others, wiggle my feet, even have resorted to screamin and yelling like when I lifted weights.
That's not an option right now, bud. I've got very important short term goals in my sights, and this is an opportunity, work wise, that will soon expire. Put two and two together and you'll realize I can't accomplish my goals as soon without this opportunity for overtime Yank, seeing as how you're a trucker and undoubtedly staying up helps you make your money I'm going to try that. I'll resort to more energy drinks and nodoze if that doesn't work.
holy shit. this stuff is whacked,,.. a throat numbing ingridient?? WTF?? http://www.drinkcocaine.com/
it's appreciated. the website said they've added a numbing agent to the drink to try to help emulate the throats reaction to real cocaine. I'm going to order some :X
I did the math and with 60+ 90*(3 weeks), I'll have worked more hours in 4 weeks than I usually do in 9 :& It's all for a purpose though. . . . that's what I keep telling myself every day.
Okay, I don't operate well on too little sleep, and nothing really will substitute for rest, but don't go for the No-Doz. They can rip your stomach up pretty badly if you're not eating really well all the time. If you need, use hard pack style herbal supplements that use guarana as a key ingredient. Don't go with capsules or the like. The hard pack tabs release more slowly, and guarana is a natural caffeine source that releases it more gradually, so you don't spike your blood sugar, etc. The rest of the ingredients can be a lot of things: ginsing, ginko, bee pollen, roayl jelly, gotu kola... there's a long list. Personally, when I need something to help first thing, I use a supplement called Mega Energy, Naturalist brand, distributed by Rexall/Sundown. I've had good luck, and it shouldn't give you ulcers if you keep it reasonable. Good luck.
