I am new to this site. I have never seen anything like this for hippies in the past. Is this really a way for some of us old hippies to connect with others? I cannot believe this old hippie went and married a Navy man almost 32 years ago. I went from protesting the Vietnam War to being married to a bomb handler. Now that he has finally retired and we are away from Navy bases, I find that I wish I had kept better track of my old hippie friends. I ended up in this area (near Nashville, TN) and find making friends difficult. Most people here that I have met are very church and family oriented. I think that is a beautiful thing but church is not my thing and both my husband and my family are nearly all gone now. Are there gatherings in my area?
