i have stright F's in all my classes i wish i could just get a GED insted of all this bullshit but i dont want to dissapoint my mom anymore its not my fault i cant stay awake in class....i have bad insomnia and i only get about 1-2 hrs of sleep a day...and that sleep is in school(desks are comfy)
ahhh i have the same problem! i have insomnia, never sleep, cant concentrate. im intelligent, just dont do well in school. i want to go back on independant, but i know that if i do i will fall even further behind.
well if you do have insomnia go to a psychologist and explain to them your sleeping disorder and they will not only prescribe you meds but if it's severe enough they can give you a note excusing you from morning classes and the school has to cooperate. Or you could just go to night school.
i know you are smart so who bout when you experience insomnia, log off of the forums for a while and study? you're almost out of high school and grades in high school may prove to be MUCH more important to you then you realize now. there is no reason that you should be failing that many classes. that is just idiotic.
yeah i agree with interval. you are way smart, but the issue could be your on the computer too much. dont do the ged i did , but it dosent look as good as a high school grad when applying for jobs. suck it up go to the doctor if you must and finish it off!
Fuck the grades! what's the rest of your life like if you're living on 1-2 hours sleep every night? I went through some of the same shit in high school and it wasn't any fun.

i have been there, and i am there now.. well minus the school part. i dont really remember who i got through school with it tho, but somehow i did. its not a lot of fun tho, just invest in some caffiene or something and stay awake through school.
not me - it doesn't help me get to sleep, but once I do go to sleep I'm out like a light and feel completely drugged and groggy the next day. the only thing I can suggest is to exorcise more. the more active I am the less problems I have with sleep. oh and sex helps insomnia to - if thats available, haha
simple but tested and true insomnia tips- try these before trying medication- getting to sleep and waking up around the same time every day only use your bed for sleeping and sex excercize but not later then 5 pm no caffeine after 5 pm do something relaxing like take a bath a half hour before bed DONT WORRY about not being able to sleep- that creates anxiety and makes it MUCH worse -a good herbal supplement to take is melatonin...this can help re-set your biological clock (circadian rhytems) -if you try these things and they do not help or work, then see your doctor
Sorry Dom, but I have to agree with Trish and Crystal. Sometimes you got to suck it up and deal with any problems that you might be having and find a solution. I had insomia in HS and I still do from time to time. I did some reasearch and one thing that worked for me (I did not want to take perscribed drugs) was working out. I know that this might sound a bit crazy for some, but if you do some type of exercise at night and break a sweat, you will have a better chence of falling asleep. It has worked for me then and it works for me now. Do not give up on HS. Get your diploma, no matter what it takes and do not settle for a GED if you can prevent it from happening. You are a very smart person and I know you can over come your troubles with sleeping. Baybe get off of HF for a bit?:H ~namaste~
i deffintily dont want any pills but thanks for the tips i will try them out ushily i can just smoke a little weed and i will be out like a light but i dont want to use a substance to fall asleep every night i do exersize a bout an hour a day but its always in the afternoon...maybe if i do some exersize later at night i will be able to sleep better and also my grades are a result of my being absent from school 26 days this year so far.
