I'm growing up finally.

First cellphone lol. I got it yesterday, I'm coming of age and some 12 year olds out there would be laughing. Went to the mall yesterday which is a 2 hour walk, my dad picked me up later on. Then he goes, "If you do the laundry everyday and keep your room clean I'll buy you a cellphone." I was like, "WHAT? FINALLY!" Heh, its a gracious thing to have. No more strandedness or clogged home phone. Buahahaha.

I hate cell phones... they should be banned. And any person who has a stupid ring tone on their phone should be banned.

I was semi-joking. I really do hate cell phones and any ring tone other than a normal phone sound constitutes as stupid in my book. I wouldn't mind if they banned cell phone usage in restaurants and sidewalks... beaches, parks... cars... anywhere that I am basically.

 

Anything that distracts them from you, right.

I just don't understand why people need them. Okay, if they are traveling all the time, sure... but otherwise I don't buy it. People always say, "what if I was in an emergency?" Well... what did things do the other 3 billion years without cell phones?

Thats what some people say about all technology.. especialy things like computers.. fundementaly civilians could and have coped very well with out them.. but just think of life with out them.. ?.

i must not have grown up yet! I don't need one!

 

i do have a life without a mobile phone... it's fine. im glad however that they are around because soon we will have super call watches that holograms appear on and we communicate in a new super cool way :LD::SD::SD::::LLOLDOLDOSDL!!!! !11111!!!

 

As flattering as it might be .. it must get a little dull getting advances of every tom dick and harry.. thats all i am, saying.. I am sure she apreicates your thoughts and all.. i hope you are both very happy together.. I only meant it in a jockey way anyway..

 

I'm positive I could cope extremely well without computers. As for research and all that stuff... I still go to the libraries anyway. I guess I'm just old fashioned.

 

I'm 16- turning 17 in June. I don't even have a car yet lol. Haha. I think cellphones are awesome when I'm out of the house and need to talk to somebody. Especially meeting up.

I like the ringtones with classical music. Mine is Canon in D Minor, absolutely pretty. Those crazy ones with the Salsa/Techno music are for preteens and annoying tourists.
