i didnt even see delaware listed at all... but marland is very close so... anyone here from harve de grace? or nearby delaware??
I am from east of Newark and am only a short I-95 trip away from Havre De Grace. I like that strange little town. It has all sorts of neighborhoods within its tiny limits. The promenade, which is beautiful, is only a few blocks from the run-down areas. Oh, then there is the Bomboy's Candies- the greatest candy store in the Delmarva region!
My great-grandfather and his ancestors are all from Centreville on the Eastern Shore. They were one of the most wealthy and prominent families in the region back in the 1820-1900 time frame, but after the Civil War and Industrial Revolution, their money dissipated (unfortunately for me...). The surname in question is "Langford" and I would imagine you may have encountered it down there! They immigrated to the US from England as early as 1630.
