I've got guitars, cameras, more books than a library, and yet I'm still bored. Terrible, I know. First world problems...
I noticed that beer isn't on your list of possessions. It solves nothing but it might help pass the time.
I have an entire beer arsenal. Feel free to jump in the car and come on over! I'm only about 13 hrs away.
Well.. Jo, it's twenty after eleven at night and there's not much goin on outside. And Wizard, I have plenty of beer. It's the only thing keeping me insane.
Tell us a story about your cameras. It'll be a mini book, published right here on the internet. Poof, just like that .. you're now an author. You're the one that likes the old typewriters, right?
Yeah, I sure am.. You remember that? I don't remember writing that. I collect old typewriters. Also 19th century books of poetry and old rotary phones. Mostly typewriters though. I recently got into film photography. But it's getting harder and harder to get film developed, so I decided that if I was going to do it that I need to be able to do it myself. So, along with three film cameras, I bought darkroom equipment and convinced my poor sweet, beautiful, supportive girlfriend to let me turn our only bathroom into a darkroom, as a temporary setup. She agreed because she's awesome and I did so. I have a couple Pentax K-1000's. They're all metal, and fully manual. Built like tanks. I brought my girlfriend to a nature reserve one Sunday to take pictures to test the film and cameras. Mostly ordinary nature photos, but there's a couple in particular that are pretty cool. We walked the long trails through these islands as the sun was going down. As we turned this corner I said, "baby, I gotta take a pee. I'm gonna go behind this tree." So as I'm turning towards this big, cedar I think, I notice something weird in my field of view. I look up and notice this animal skull hanging from a small branch, part of the spine still attached. I pointed it out to my lady and I finished my roll of film on it. It was pretty spooky looking and the most memorable part of the day.
Sometimes when I am bored I will find a cable tie and put it up my nose a little for a tickle and then a sneeze. Sneezing is like the best thing at times.
Often when I'm bored I'll take this extra boot lace I have or a drinking straw and I'll play with my cat. I have a laser pointer from the dollar store that she loves too. Cats are great fun! And good for the snugglin!
I'm just about to invest in a dog but I'd like a cat.. Maybe. If it will stay away from my fishies I'd get one today. But I don't want to say NEIN! and have it come and claw me like they always do. =[
Mein fuhrer, a cat is a wonderful, thoughful pet. But they may attack fishes. When I first brought mein Josie home she tried to attack the rabbits through cage wire. Ich liebe katzen!
My puppy when I get him will be named das Führer. When I get a female puppy I will name her Treblinka. Fucked up I know, but they're such good names for dogs! Thinking about it.. I could get in trouble maybe if people knew that..
