Hello, all! You probably don't remember, but I was part of a weight loss thread about a year ago on here. It ended up being pretty successful, but I just kind of fizzled out...I have lost weight since then, but have recently hit a plateau with still a significant amount of weight to lose. So, I'm kind of using this a sort of weight loss blog. I'll write what I have ate that day, my exercise, concerns, or anything else relevant to the topic. Anyway, if anyone is interested in joining me, I would be thrilled. I would much prefer this to be more of a conversation, and less of a schizo rant. Anyway, today I ate: Breakfast:Granola bar, coffee with cream Snack: Apple, Hot Chocolate (It's snowing!) Lunch: Vegetarian chili Dinner: 2 Fiber One Pop Tarts (yeah, lame dinner, I know) Passion tea with 1 tsp grenadine to sweeten it up a bit. Exercise: About an hour of dancing. Spazzy, at times stripper-ey dancing, but whatever works, right? Later!
Today~ the b-day of the brother. Usually leads to shitty eating, but I think I did ok. Breakfast: 1 piece whole wheat bread with nutella, coffee with cream Snack: 1 fiber one granola bar Lunch: 1 taco salad with romaine lettuce, brown rice, low fat refried beans, 1/4 c. cheese, salsa, and a bit of sour cream (made at home, not restaurant) Snack: Parmasean basil wheat thins (I think I ate too many) Dinner: Salad, Spagetti with meatless marinara (I am a vegetarian, just FYI). Dessert: Pink frosted cookie (my brothers birthday "cake") So, all in all, I think I did OK. The only real problem was no exercise. Lots of Rock Band. Note to self: By new yoga mat as have lost old one (I'm not quite sure how I managed that).
Sorry 'bout that! Didn't get a chance to get on last night. Ok Breakfast: 2 fiber one pop tarts, coffee Snack:1 granola bar Lunch: Brown rice, nonfat refried beans, tiny bit of cheese and sour cream Snack: 1 apple, 1 tall non fat starbucks peppermint mocha Dinner: Oven roasted vegetables, 1 slice whole wheat bread, 1 serving sugar free pudding Late night: another granola bar...at least they are fiborous! Resolution: cut back on the granola bars (though I just ate one as I wrote this...oh well). Also, reduce night eating.
Not the best day today. Merde... Forgot to mention bellydance practice, yesterday, though. About 30 min. Breakfast: 1 fiber one (see above), 2 pieces whole wheat toast with jam Snack: Craisins Lunch: Vegetarian Mongolian Snack: Grande nonfat peppermint mocha Dinner: Tortilla chips and dip (horendous for me, I'm sure, but I didn't have that much) Yikes. Writing this down makes me feel like Bridget Jones. Must start using anti-cellulite lotion and wear suck-em-in panties to complete overall essence.
This is really turing out to be one big before snapshot. Shame! Breakfast: 2 fiber one pop tarts, black coffee Snack: One serving apple juice Lunch: leftover mongolian Dinner: 1 gingerbread man Must find suitable yoga matless, indoor exercise! Today's exercise consisted of chasing around two classrooms full of 5 year olds, and trying not to fall on my ass as I walked through the snow.
V. proud of myself today. Made Christmas cookies all day, and kept away from all frosting, decorations, etc. Only had one cookie! Breakfast: Cookie, coffee Lunch: Leftover mongolian (that's the last of it I swear!) Dinner: 1 serving cheese tortellini tossed in butter and herbs (I should feel guilty, but I don't!) Exercise: 1/2 hour dance.
Yikes, I have been bad...very bad. Not too much on the food (though I can't say I am thrilled...). But I should have updated even when tired, embaressed, etc. Today: toast, roll, spagetti-os, apple, 2 slices pizza, cucumber, cookie....oh, lord, it is a carb-a-poolza. I hate Christmas...
I see you haven't been on since X-mas. I've been where you are. I found that eating more protein helps. Try and get a half gram of protein per pound of body weight so you can assure that the weight you're losing is mostly fat and not muscle. Also, try getting on a strength training program. You'll find that you'll lose fat like crazy once you're doing cardio AND strength. It's amazing.
That's awesome, congrats on the success! I've been getting in shape this summer and I'm really proud of myself. I've taken up daily hiking and am learning to surf, which I have to say, is the most intense upper body workout ever. I've gone from an 8 to a 4! I don't really care about size though. My goal is to getting in shape to race 5 and 6 ks again.
