    as for the future

Berman confirms for the first time that he is now developing a STAR TREK feature film project: "I am involved in the very early stages of what could be the next STAR TREK movie," reveals Berman, in an excerpt provided by Dreamwatch. "It's something I will be producing with two other producers."

Unwilling to offer many details he cryptically describes it as "a prequel" without any further elaboration. The names of his producing cohorts will have to remain unknown for now, as well. This follows a report earlier this week from Dark Horizons that Paramount may be working on a project the site described as "Starfleet Command." Coincidentially, former TREK producer Harve Bennett (STAR TREKs II-VI) revealed recently that several years ago he had pitched a Starfleet Academy-based STAR TREK movie concept.

On the television front, while the future of their first series remains in limbo, Berman confirms that he is developing a non-STAR TREK sci-fi series with partner Brannon Braga. Both Berman and Braga have development deals with Paramount. If a new series begins development in earnest, TrekWeb insiders suggest Berman and/or Braga might take a reduced role in a fourth season of ENTERPRISE, though this is entirely speculation.

There is nothing wrong with that...there are a lot worse things to do with your time . I have seen them all 6(ish) times over and am not bored with it. I am sure there is a support group out there , if your feeling unbalanced :) .

Not a big fan of the TOS but its a product of its time , i suppose . Things got better ..........

quick question...do you know the episode of TNG when they meet the aliens that want to jump ahead of there natural evolution . They steal technology but have not learnt how to use it properly ... maybe a bit vague but its been bugging me...

Thats the one... Can you remember the name . I ask because there is a weekly or fortnightly magazine with the complete series of TNG and films . I don't realy want to buy the whole series but i am waiting for episodes i like ... Don't worry i won't ask you every time 'something is buging me' that episode i think i have only seen 1 time ... anyway before i start rambling .........

The story arcs were a lot better and there was a lot more going on in DS9 .... DS9 covered race , religeon and ethics very well. And apart from the doctor at times , no one you wanted to throtle...Thinking about it DS9 was my fave' .

I really didn't think i would like DS9 but ended up loving it espeically the last series with the new dax charater in it.
enterprise is the only one that I don't think works, apart from the fact its so boring, they only seem to give two or three or the main charaters decent story lines, its a waste of all the rest of them

I was a huge Trekkie (TOS and TNG) for most of my life until "Enterprise" came along and shat on everything the other series had established. "Enterprise" is the worst-acted, worst-written, blandest, generic, contradiction-filled sci-fi I've ever seen.

It's proof that in America, even the noblest, most intelligent ideas (like Star Trek) eventually get exploited and bloated and made into a grotesque parody of their former selves in pursuit of the almighty dollar. It's sad.

I stick with reruns of the original so I can watch Kirk kick ass and sleep with alien women every other episode.

Yes, recently, actually... We watched an old documentary on "the Church of Elvis Christ" (taped from tv years ago), then Trekkies... Then, at the end of Trekkies, they had an Elvis impersonator singing about Star Trek, which just tied it all together...

    Scary, scary movies....
