Haha, true. Started when I was 15 and worked a couple of months, then stopped until I was 17 when I started again. I'm now 19. I work on the streets. It's not too bad actually - not as bad as people think.

i guess because sex is stigmatized as something dirty and wrong, and a person who sells their body for the sexual pleasures of others is selling something considered bad, not unlike crack and heroin. and sex is usually thought of as having some emotion attached to it, and someone who spreads themselves around so freely is thought to have no self respect and no respect for the signifigance of sex. thats the best explanation i can think of.

i saw a documentary about 5 heroin users, 3 prostitute themsleves, 3have aids. HIV is just the beggining- it develops into the full blown aids. also generally in one night stand poople wear condoms, and generally i noticed how nowhere you see of many pretty or decent looking ppl having aids, its like the scabby dirty ones.

can i just ask TC, how many times were you raped, as in forced to do shit like anal, how many times beat up? how many times robbed?? how many prostitutes u know thaat have experienced these, how many u know have died? im not really too fusses, in the end its up to you with what u do with ur body, but how can you have respect of others when you dont have respect for yourself?

Actually when you look at that facts, most prostitutes are actually not drug addicts as they are say runaways or just plain poor.

And remember, for any woman selling her body, she can do that cause there's even more men out there who just don't get enough satisfaction out of taking care of themself.

 

Why is it that prostitutes are so looked down upon, in our society; and yet the men who create the demand for this industry are not equally dispised? A society which looks down on prostitutes and topless dancers and gives a knowing wink to bachelor parties is fucked.

A lot of women are forced into prostitution because it's the only way they can support themselves. Who the fuck are you to judge, when you haven't had to work the streets yourself?

Most of the people who have been commenting in this thread have been fucking assholes about it, and I'm disturbed and disgusted that a supposedly open-minded community of people would respond in this way.

But really... what do you get out of it? I mean besides sex & money? How does it make you feel?

I've lived in some pretty beat up places in my life and have known a prostitute and she had a lot of self esteem problems, and attempted suicide many times. And her pimp or what ever he was always beat her up. I just don't understand...why someone would do it by choice, specially after knowing her.

 

nevermind the nastiness of the haters. you've got a path to walk that they won't ever understand. or me, to be honest, but i want to know.

anyway, i've always wanted to know what YOUR LIFE is like. i've pondered purchasing the time of a prostitute just to KNOW. i have to admit, there's been plenty of times i've FELT like a prostitute, putting out so that my man wouldn't be mad or whatever. but your life, what's it like? are you okay? do you get angry? do you get resentful? that there's all these guys who pay for something then give you shit about it? hell, i'd be furious.
