I am supremely logical and objective yet I still possess childish dreams. I say childish as they are like something out of star wars or harry potter, but they are infallible, they can withstand any criticism. They are as true to reality as they are true to the purity of a dream.
I'm the same way. I'm a big time dreamer. Some people say they're far fetched...I say they're dreams.
are you supposed to "realize" your little hole in the wall/dead end job/slave lifestyle is all there is to life??? Dreams are awesome, if not necessary. To see the box as a box, you have to get outside of it.
Maybe you base your dreams on what you want, if there is no clear route connecting it to certainties it will be far fetched, maybe you know certainties they don't. Either way it is best to calculate a route towards an achievable goal and make adjustments to that dream as more information becomes available than work from top to bottom. I've been outside the box and worn it as a hat. There is no proof that "X is all there is to life" as much as there is no proof that "there must be more to life than X", the only facts we have to go on are our own existence and creations which provide no valid answer to either. I am supremely logical and objective. I'm willing to admit what I do not know, I never take shortcuts, I can spot emotions a mile off and understand and follow scientific method to the letter.
I'm live by logic and find dreams to be silly. I just don't know why anyone won't believe I'm Charlemagne.

to dream is our nature. it is the only thing that motivates us to create the artifacts we so completely surround ourselves by, that in turn, are the only observable distinction between ourselves and other life forms on our planet. of course my own dreams generally involve making things and exploring things and figguring out ways how to. things that can make our comfort zone without destroying everything our existence depends on to do so. they seldom involve people directly, living or even imaginary ones, though they sometimes appear in them. but they do involve the kind of world everyone could be happy in. and how such a world could actually exist. all the details of how such a world could come to be out of this one i haven't solved. and i'm glad it's not entirely up to me to do so. but i do believe that too, can and will happen. =^^= .../\...
