My wife saw this on a T-Shirt this afternoon in Las Vegas.

When all the trees are gone, all the rivers
    .
    .and the land poluted...
    .
    .The air unbreathable...
    .
Only THEN will we realize we can't eat money.

Yeap... Nobody just don't understand... Mother is nature... It gives us everything so love it, help it, respect it because it can DESTROY YOU but YOU can't destroy it!

Well you could eat money... It just wouldn't taste good. I've eaten paper before when I'm in class and starving.

I get the message though. I mean, everyone understands what they're doing to the earth with plastic and cars and coal and everything. But they don't stop. How can they just ignore it?

Yep planting fruit trees is the best way to ensure a healthy future for the planet...probly the best thing we could be doing really.
If you can't plant any yourself, I recommen donating to the fruit tree planting foundation - http://www.ftpf.org

I have a version of that on a post card on the notice board in my kitchen. It also says something about when the last fish has been caught. I believe it is Native American in origin.

I just planted four 9 trees last month - two pears, two apples, five junipers.

"Plant a tree in '73" campaign started it off for me. "Plant some more in '74" kept it going and since then I try to plant at least one a year. I have encouraged my children to do the same.

    Get planting people!!

Not meaning to blow this little thread but "buttons" made from paper, metal, ink and chemicals, postcards, paper, ink and chemicals, the T shirts depends on what the shirt was made from but also ink and chemicals to get the color and writing.

Seems a bad way to send an enviromental message.

But by that reckoning you can't spread the message through TV, computers, leaflest...heck, even word of mouth'll 'cause the release of slightly higher amounts of CO2...=D I mean...whatever works...

I couldn't agree more, everyday thousands of trees get cut down so that we can have paper which is used for most people to write crap on anyway. If people aren't doing their part maybe we should skin them and use their skin as paper instead!

I have started a recycling project at my school, and I plant trees inmy community. I help mother nature out as much as I can every day. Pollution and Global warming is hurting mother nature. If you live in a small city you should walk or ride a bike what ever you cn do to do your part to stop pollution.

I have a shirt that says "TREE AID" on it and has a picture of a tree. I guess it was from some kind of parks benefit or something, I got it at goodwill for $1, just so I could wear it to work. The sad part of that is....I work at a place that manufactures JUNK MAIL, among other wastes of paper. Most of the 600 or so people employed there commonly refer to everything made there as "garbage", because it is pretty much tossed in the trash more often than it is read. I hate that place, everyone does...BUT we all like to eat and have places to live,,etc; The problem is, if the paper industry just "went away" so would like 2'000'000 or so jobs in America.... it's our economy that is too blame for killing our planet.
