Id regret voting if I had.
Whats the difference. If McCain had won, itd be called McCain-a-care, or something with a better ring to it... Id be asking why do you regret Obama won office? Would it be much different if it was someone else?

I am disappointed in Obama. But he's still ten times better than the best Republican.

I feel the same, and give the party ideological vs pragmatic realist inter-party republican fighting, I think democrats have a more stable policy to lead the country right now.

Neither are perfect especially on foreign policy, but I will say that I am currently satisfied with Obamacare and it has saved my family a good amount of money on healthcare policies we would've otherwise been forced to take under COBRA, for the type of coverage we wanted.

I also saw in the news today that the military is taking cuts, so depending on what I learn on that, I will also be more or less satisfied based on what is actually cut, and if those cuts are used to erase our deficit and long term debt. But I am also worried on the contraction of the federal budget is on the economy though...we'll see either way.

I voted for him the first time but I voted third party his reelection year. I don't regret my vote for him; I was so disillusioned over Bush at the time and I also felt very proud of my country for finally electing a young black dude instead of an old white guy. Election night was a memorable and historical event and I am glad I was a part of it. There is no point in regretting the vote; no president from either party is ever going to live up to what their constituents expect from them anyways.

He pretty much lived up to what I expected. But a little worse.

No I didn't vote for him or the republican opponent either time. So I'm not disappointed in myself, just my country.

To the person who didn't like my statement that Obama is ten times better than any Republican -- please name one who would be a better leader. Otherwise, you are just full of it.

    Was that easy to type?

WTH, he's just an honest non-owner of the white house.

I'm not sure what you mean by "was that easy to type?"...

Uh, yes and no? I don't like admitting I voted for him but like Meli I was sick of Bush and Cheney Inc. and... yea...whatever.
Obama has been just as bad in many ways though, so....

And if what you're saying is that he's really not in control of much- yes, I know he's a puppet.

Sunfighter, maybe you have to keep posting it to see if somebody cares? Ahahaha!

I knew what the rotten fraud was from day one and I knew that those who voted for him would get what they deserved if they survived at all. Suits me. Put cho'sef out for the world to see!
I do feel somewhat sorry for blacks, but that's life as a grown up who reads and writes and gets a vote. Maybe they should have gotten off the whoop-whoop stupid stump and actually learned something about life, politics and their own country first? Oh wait....all his voters heard was "free stuff for worthless stupid you!". What did anyone expect? Why do you think honest adults with the IQ of a monkey were pissed and terrified? All we heard was "Time to grind the feckless, but you'll have more money and a better life after the stupid and freeloaders are gone"
What did you hear when they said "We're gonna put a fraud with no fitness at the helm" ?
Frankly, it gets this simple: I would rather live with a man who might have work or a business interest for me than 100 bums who expect me to cure their diseases free and can't read a prescription label. I would rather deal with mothers and their babies who were kept and born for more than increased benefits.
How do you think, behind all the phony, politically correct tripe, that most people feel who DO have to support theirs and a bunch of feckless damage? I mean, you pick and good luck with that poppet.

The problem I have with third party is that if I am gonna vote, I want it to actually matter. All the third party voters did, ipso facto, is throw their vote in the bin for "the other guy". When, if, the other parties ever actually matter or have a snowball's chance in hell of course I'll reconsider. But for now, you are just giving it to another party, the victim of unconsidered imaginings.

We were just having a discussion about this in another thread...
The only way it would work and not be a wasted vote for one side or the other is if everyone would mobilize the same year to vote third party. And of course people would have to agree on which third party that would be...which would be difficult.
Otherwise, yea, I agree with you and that's why I probably will not vote for president next time.... I may actually vote locally as I feel there's more chance you can change things on a local level.

Maybe people heard him saying he was gonna shut down Guantanamo Bay and end the wars and things like that? Anyways, that's what I heard. What he did (not shutting down Guantanamo, increasing drone strikes, etc.... was a totally different story.)

Their works perrito, not their words. Ever. They ALWAYS say the opposite of what they're going to do. It makes me think of the johnny depp version of alice "Dogs will believe anything".
The offense is, in my mind, that they could have as easily fed people for life and beauty.....but that's not what it's about. At all. Only to people like us do humans and human things matter.
