Please listen to this and tell me what you think....

I know I had my old "musical masterpieces" thread but ......... not anymore.

    Anyway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3meyhHH_s0

I've never written a song drunk before. I'm sober now and it still sounds good to me..

Hmm so what do you, my adoring fans think? :D

BTW: just listen up to 1:50 it repeats itself after that.. I still need a solo and possibly a breakdown then it will be complete.

1:20 - 1:30 was fucking awesome, thought felt so much like Metallica...

IMO, this is MUCH better then your previous 'master pieces'. The build up i really enjoyed and now lyrics could only make this or break it...

Also, just wondering, do you use an actual distortion/overdrive, or do you just plug straight to pc and run it with a effects program?

Yeah I really like 1:20 - 1:30 it feels like something that Kirk would have wrote back in '86.

I don't know what to do about the lyrics, like this song sounds so fucking heavy. It needs cool lyrics. I originally wanted this song to have violent and evil lyrics but now I'm starting to think it should be called "Solitude" and it will be about being alone for the rest of your life or something like that.

And for recording this is what I use. [IMG]

^^^ It just plugs into your computer with a usb cord and then you plug in and then jam away :D

It comes with this program called gearbox [IMG]

^^^ This program has every single tone I could ever want. It even has a whole bunch of tones from famous guitarists. Basically you could make every tone you'd ever need. It's awsome.

There is bass, it's just kind of quiet. You need good speakers to hear it. Once I mix it you'll be able to hear the bass. Trust me :D

The sawstika..... Hmmm.. Thats there for a couple reasons.

    1. It gets attention
    2. ...It's cool to look at
    3. It gets attention and is cool to look at.

Hah that's actually some pretty good reasons.

I'm looking for something to record my drum kit to my cpu for cheap, do you know of anything good?

Well you'll need some drum mic's and something that will allow you to plug microphones into your computer. You could use the thing I previously posted (the line 6 thing)

But thats supposed to be for guitars. But anything that lets you plug a microphone in should work.

When your actually recording try this program http://www.reaper.fm/ This is what i use. It's free and it's pretty damn cool. Fun to use also.

It sounds good but also like it's done 100 times before, no offence. I hear clearly older Metallica in it as well :cheers2:

Hmm.. It's really hard to come up with a solo for this song.

I just want it to be like 15 seconds of shredding or something. But it will still make the song stronger.

i think you should leave out the really shredded solo's. My fave ones were always the slower and more emotional ones. but thats just me.
