I have about 7,000$ canadian dollars in bank. My car is paid, I have about 200 dvds, 10,000$ worth of Superman memoriblia, we have about 1,000 cds. Lots of clothes, lots of furnitures. I owe about 600$ to Visa plus I we pay a mortgage of of 750$ canadian for our house. I make about 2,000$ per month at Bell.
Yup. Sorry. But, I did have some semi-hard times in life. Money ain't everything believe me. I left my parents when I was 14 to go live with my grandma. I would sleep on the couch. I went to school and would be a delivery boy for a "depanneur" (convenience store) until ten o'clock. When I started working things became quite cool (I mean at least with the minumum wage). Then Bell came in, then with a wife, a lot of expenses are cut in half. Phone, cable, internet, buying a tv, a computer, ect... You even waste less food when you're with someone.
If I had 100 free-floating, undedicated dollars, I'd blow it on my wife - take her out, buy her things, etc. One important rule of a happy, successful marriage: Budget the luxuries first.
Don't wanna be mean here but if you work and are like 25, you should at least have 500$ in the bank in case of... I think that when I was 19 I had like a 1,000$ aside if I was in trouble. Of course I was living alone though...
If I was given 100 bucks right now, I would take some of my friends out for sushi and then to the coffee house, and just hang out all night.
Not you in particular. Really. I just think that if you work and are 14, it's normal to spend everything but that at a certain age, shouldn't a little help fund be there? I said 25 because it was an even number.
yeah, I mean theres no argument, you are totally right.. I live on my own and pay for everything myself, and still stick like 10 or so bucks in a savings account as much as I can, cause you just never know...
I say spend it all. Do you want someone becoming rich off of your death? And besides if you die tomorrow you'll die happier knowing you lived your life to the fullest...
If I had an extra $100 (that didn't need to go to bills) I'd buy a pocket pussy, that northernlehigh97 guy sure make a hell of a sales pitch.
"I say spend it all. Do you want someone becoming rich off of your death?" I would never acummulate like say, 200,000$ dollars. First, if I had that money, I'd pay off my house, and I'd quit my job for something less stressful. I'm not a money guy - on the contrary - believe me. BUT - I do like to have a little in the bank. Suppose you need to take the taxi rush because someone you love is sick? If my roof falls, if a window breaks? Little things like food, and mortgage are cool when you can pay them. Then, if you want clothes, see a movie... I would really feel insecure if I had 5 dollars in bank... Just me though.
