except theyre the movie versions of what people really wore in the 60's and 70s If I could, I would dress like Bridgette Bardot
I would ware white pants and a white shirt when it was hot and black pants a black shirt and a nice black coat when it was cold. I don't think much about fashion. I could never say "Oh thats an ugly dress" because I don't understand how it is ugly. I see pictures of actresses in dresses and people are calling them badly dressed. I don't get it, why is this more important than the children starving in Africa or something. I don't see the point to fashion, I believe in uniform dress. How you dress may be an expression of who you want to be, but how you act is an expression of who you are (that applies to people who are capable of actings like who they are). Edit: I also hate it when I am told something is gang related. I mean, just because a gang wares it means that we can't ware it! Some gangster does something and now I can't do it anymore.
I would wear bell bottoms jeans with patchwork panels every fuckin day to work with a various tie dye kurtas/rock t-shirts/print shirts w/ flip flops or tennishoes When riding my horse however, it'll be levis, aussie outback hat, tie dye shirts w/ oilskin slicker w/ a big circle of dancing bears on the back
I would get dreads...thing is, I'm in my mid-40's, and I think I might look kinda weird with them, but I LOVE dreads...I love how they look, and I love the symbology behind them...
Gosh, that's a tough question. I love the things that came from Dior's The New Look of the late 50's early 60's. As I also love the Victorian era with the small albeit corseted waists, bustled skirts, & lace, lace, lace, layers of sexy lace. I have done the hippy thing so much it is mundane to me. You asked what if I could wear, right?
i would probably be glam goth, with pretty petticoats and corsetts, fun colours for make-up and stuff like that
If I could (and wanted to put the effort into) wearing any fashion, I would have to say that the 60's and 70's were pretty cool. I'd like that. Women don't have too many good choices from the past since we were usually covered head to toe with 60 layers of clothing...
Less saying, more doing. I wear whatever the hell I like, if you guys like a certain type of clothing go for it. Clothes are a great form of expression.
I already wear what I please. I'd call my style "post-apocalyptical hipster" lol, I combine typical hipster elements with retro and punk/military stuff. I usually go for (intentionally) torn leggings worn under a mini skirt, short shorts or dress, tight pants, bullet or studded belts, knee-high Converse or boxer boots, military coats, beanies or caps, lots of vintage shirts, lots of camo prints, lots of steampunk and retro jewelry.
