Niihaayaa' is arapaho for the color yellow, it has a beautiful sound to it.

Athabaskan Language Family, the word: Dene means 'man'. i like that one, Din'eh.

yeah, I don't go by my first, legal name either. everyone would shorten it and I HATE how it sounds shortened.

with the french accent and everything. My mom didn't want me to be called Jackie, so thus, I go by Kayleigh (my middle name)

 

i think its a pretty name. kayleigh is cool too though.

 

I work with a Jackie. Her legal first name is Jaquetta.

 

Those are both really good names. I was born Gabrielle, was Gabby to a few when I was really young but everyone knows me as Elle.

 

yeah... Kayleigh suits me more too. I'm not sophisticated enough to be a Jacqueline all the time. It's weird though, that no one shortens Kayleigh to Kay except my mom and step-dad and that's pretty damn rare because I usually bitch them out over it

My real first and middle names are Allison Esther.. which I don't really like. I like Esther for it's meaning (there's been an Esther in every generation of my mom's side of the family for at least 200 years) but I hate, hate, hate Allison.

If I could choose anything, my name would be Zoe Sophia. Instead, if I have two daughters I'll name them Zoe and Sophia.
