Mercedes Sel/Se 500 Coupe or something...So many models in this classic range...Can pick up a good one for around £10 000 here in the UK. But then I don't currently drive, but if I had the spare cash I'd just park it outside, sit and play the radio.

a long bed cargo van that was good on gas, or preferably electric, with fairly high ground clearance and heavy duty suspension.
but still able to fit an ordinary parking space. a minimum of six feet from back of front seat to inside of rear doors.
    eight would be nice.

but i would really prefer to be able to live away from cities and their 'burbs, without having to own anything to do so.

the whole point though, would be to also have, or for there to be, a place where i could build anything i wanted to live in,
and live in anything i wanted to build.

lots of reasons i would want this. to be able to haul things i would like to make, and things i would need to make them out of.

this combination might seem trivial to some, but it is way beyond the resources i expect to have any time in what remains of my life.
i know where i could get the van for around six k, but i'm not interested in being indentured to it for the rest of my live either.

Mad Max's interceptor was a movie car, the blower doesn't really work.

    I have a long list:
1955 Chrysler C 300 with a Firepower Hemi engine, the first American car to produce 300 HP. This was a full on production race car that dominated the circuits in the 50's, when all cars had to run as stock. It was the world's fastest stock car.

I could'a bought one of those a few years back for about 4 grand. It had a Corvair engine and tranny and was immaculate. Even had the owner's manual and original jack and tools. It was at an import car show brought over from Germany.
Also I think it was older.

    But no surf boards.
