under 50, are not a family member and are not sleeping with me do not call me hon. Tonight at starbucks some 20 year old punk ass kid working there with piercings called me hon and than when I shot him a look he called me it I shit you not 4 more times in like 2 sentences. I am so writting a letter as it was intentional to belittle me.
I think it's kind of nice sometimes, but it depends on who is saying it. I guess that would be kind of weird... but guys never talk to me, so I'll take what I can get.
errr we have a lot of military kids at work and when they try and call me ma'am I put an end to it it's way too american values for me.
please explain your logic? I mean you are totally allowed to think that, but I see nothing in any of these posts that equalss paranoia.
I only like, "Ma'am", if there is a yes in front of it and it is being said by a cute guy in a cowboy hat. Names I have been called... "Mama", "Honey", "Sweetie", "Baby", "Baby Girl" (ack), "Home Girl" I prefer, "Mama" above anything else
no it's demeaning I am sorry you don't understand I hate early twenty something guys in southern CA because they all think they're fucking pimps or something I don't want them-at all never have never will yet they think that they can just melt you-no the expression on my face is from my disbelief that you even think you are worthy of calling me hon when it looks like you can't even dress yourself not that I want you dude who thinks he can fucking get away with calling me hon intentionally because he could tell it erked me.
oh and girls can call me hon I don't care about and it doesn't bother me if it's said once even by someone I don't know but I made it clear by my expression that it wasn't cool and he delibratley said it more just to erk me.
