Why would I have multiple ways to get to heaven? like I always hear that any religion leads to heaven. I think its bs. Why wouldnt I just make one book the one way? why make the bible, quran and so on. I personally think its stupid for a G-d to have multiple books on how to get there. It would only creative confusion. Thats why I feel that only one religion leads to heaven and not these multiple beliefs on earth.
God didn't publish any how-to manuals. AND he made the whole religious experience something that's hard to describe in words, and impossible to know unless you experience it.
why you posting in my fail threads? anyways John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. so Jesus is lie that the bible isnt him?
It's not a manual - or if it is, it's a very poorly written one. And it wasn't written by God, as lunarverse already pointed out - it was written by many many humans over many many centuries. "The Word of God was made flesh, and dwelt among us." Define "the Word of God." Was the Word of God a written book? If that's true, then how could the writer of the Gospel say, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God"? In the beginning there was no book - the most you could say is that in the beginning there was the heavens and the earth, because that's what God created in the beginning. Is God a written book? So I ask the question again: Was the Word of God a written book? And if not, then what was it?
I don't know what you mean by asking me this. 'Word was made flesh' most likely means that the word of god (love, love thy fellow man,. etc.) was embodied by Jesus Christ. The New Testament (John) wasn't written when Jesus was around anyways.
But He couldn't manipulate the devil, could He? He still manipulated Humans positively with respect....
there was no book in the being your right but God is the word and the word was God was there not to understand? does a word have to be physical.
Yes, which is what I was trying to say earilier in the thread. If at all, it would not be Jesus that is a "lie", it would be the new testament and the way in which they describe Jesus. All we really know about Jesus is as told through the new testament. Therefore, Jesus could not necessarily have lied about the nature of his love and message, if anything it would be the writers of the new testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) who lied about Jesus. Your statement, "so Jesus is lie that the bible isnt him?" doesn't make sense in that case. Jesus could not have lied about the word being his flesh as that sentence was written by John long after Jesus was dead. Jesus could have been the embodiment of his own message, but he couldn't have been the embodiment of the words in the bible (at least not the new testament). Jesus wasn't around or mentioned in the old testament.
I should have asked this instead; Why does any one have to be right? How would we know it's right, certainly god wouldn't come down and let us know. People should ask not, "Which religion is right?" but should instead ask, "How can I live right?"
That would mean we all would have to live in one uniform way. Everyone believing the same things, the same God.
