I have many alters and i cant stop myself from switching. does anyone know why this is and how to control it?
Multiple personality disorder is no longer the DSM name it's been changed to dissociative identity disorder, which really clarifies what it means. subject dissociates and take on a different identify. What be awesome is if his different identify were posting on the same forum, like they were all talking to each other online, that would be a great case study.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys. The main alter i switch into is a girl called Stella. Shes very slutty and sleeps around a lot. Shes bitchy and sarcastic. The second is called Ciara. She's a librarian. She wears a lot of black. Shes a geek and talks very old fashioned. Another I have is Thomas. He is a satanist and is very creepy.
Dissociative identity disorder has always been very interesting to me. When I was younger I had a friend who had 2 other personalities besides her true self. She was a little boy and a little girl with a british accent. I was friends with all 3 of them. I lost contact with her when her family moved out of state, I still wonder what happened to my friend to this day.
I once came across a troll on youtube who had multiple accounts, and the accounts would talk to each other as if they were different people, when it was very obvious that they were all the same person. Though I doubt the person actually had dissociative identity disorder, they were just a twisted idiot who was doing that purely for the intention of trolling.
