i only recently found out about salvia and i'm anxious to try it out. i've read the stickied thread at the top and found lots of useful information. now about the website, i'm assuming them saying that salvia is only to be used as an incense is, not neccessarily true. also, would i be better off buying leaves or extract. i saw that i could get an ounce of leaves for 10 bucks, and a gram of 6x extract for 7 bucks. which is the better deal for a first timer like me? any help would be great, thanks.

From my experance extracts are best for smoking and leafs are if you want to extract. buy the strongest extract you can afford if your 100% sure that this is your thing. Personally i started with 15X, and wished i bought more i truly love it. The gram of 6x for $7 is proably your best bet if you plan to smoke it, and just want a taste.

    Alright, thanks.
How hard is it to extract the leaves yourself? At 10 dollars an ounce, i might be able to get more by extracting my own than buying extract. But I don't know, so I can't sure as to what to buy. I might end up buying the extract though, maybe.

if you've done extractions before i'd suggest you try it yourself, otherwise just buy some extract and try it out. Personally if you're trying to really step out the door, I'd tell you to try at least 10x or 20x and try first a smallish dose, then bump it up a fair amount. That way you'll see how differently salvia can act as dosage varies. Then once you understand how the extract works, I'd suggest tailoring your own custom strength. Thats what I do.

Extraction is easy for the science minded (if you loved chemistry class then you might be-able to do it) but it takes weeks to do because there is alot of waitting involved.
