i had a dealer that could hook me up with different strains etc. I have a decent hookup for good quality stuff, but never any selection. Share your experiences....
I have friends with Cannabis Club cards so I can pretty much get any strain I want.. any edible.. hash... etc.
I'm in the same boat canadude, but I don't have a problem with it. I'm hardly ever dissatisfied, and it's a surprise each time.

Ah, man it's a long list; Hogsbreath, Grandaddy Purple, AK47, Afghani Kush, Orange Crush, Tangerine Crush, Northern Lights, Purple Urple, Catpiss, White Widow, White Rhino, Purple Haze, Super Silver Haze, Romulan, Purple Fire, Mango, Juicy Fruit, Skunks, Diesel, Bubblegum, Blueberry, Trainwreck, Sensi Star; those are the best ones I can remember off the top of my head, and keep in mind these are all high end hydros, nothing but A+ quality.
I'm well connnected, both here and other places; I can get pretty much anything I ask for. The lot I'm waiting on currently is Diesel, Herer and Champagne. I refuse to use small timers or street dealers; 90% of them are full of shit.
i can pretty much always get headies. i dont usually even ask strain names, and even when one is offered to me i take it for what it's worth. i mean realistically, if the buds are fluffy and green, covered in crystals that stick to your fingers and you can smell them straight through a closed ziploc is there any reason to squander over names that might not even be accurate? i would certainly like to have a nice variety of good strains available to me, but im not upset that all i can get is really good bud that may or may not have a cool name haha.
it seems no dealers ive dealt with have known their strains. just the way it is around here. it would be nice to know, at least for the comfort that teh dealer knows exactly where the stuff is from. but in the end, ive got my own little catalogue of weed types in my head, and as much as id like to know their names, dealers arent going to understand what im talking about if i ask for a specific one. i think the main reason is because weed comes from so many random growers its too hard to keep track of. once i asked a dealer what strain it was. he laughed with his mate and told me 'the best shit in town'. he wasnt far from correct, and while it wasnt what i asked, thats what really counts to me in the end
I guess my snobbery comes from being spoiled rotten in this respect. I do like to know what I'm smoking. Most dealers on the streets can't even tell you if it's indica or sativa.....
That's why I love the cannabis clubs; you get either Rx bottles or pouches, all have a printed sticker with the exact weight, strain, and sativa to indica ratio. You just go into the club, pick which kind of weed you want, how much, and pay for it.
i live in B.C. and have never been to cali but i can safely say that B.C. is probably very similiar in comparison to cali is to U.S. and B.C. is to Canada i no we have clubs even tho i live in to small of a town to have them...but yeah you get the point
