So my roommate's boyfriend lives less than 20 feet from us. My boyfriend lives 2500 miles away. She can't get along with her boyfriend at all...they fight almost every night and I have to comfort her because that's what I'm here for. My boyfriend and I, on the other hand, talk every single day on the phone...haven't fought EVER fought (well, that's not true, I got mad at him once for being a jerk to me...he apologized immediately and we made up within five minutes). She heard Jerry and I talking on the phone this evening and I guess she was upset over another fight her and her boyfriend had. "All I heard was you talking to Jerry and I wish I had what you have," she told me. It's crazy because I wish Jerry lived closer. It's so hard to be away from one another...and it's crazy to hear that come from someone's mouth, "I wish I had what you have." I guess I don't realize how great our relationship is...until someone says that. Makes me happy that it is so wonderful. I wish my roommate and her boyfriend could get along. Relationships can be a great thing. I wish I could tell her that he is never going to change and he's terrible for her...but some people just have to learn for themselves...you can only say so much.
Fuck drama! People are going to be as stupid as they are going to be for as long as they want to be. Focus on your life. You will be with your boyfriend in a few months. Cut out drama like Cancer. Most people are stupid anyway.
I love my best friend, and roommate dearly, and I can't cut her out of my life...but with her comes drama... It sucks...it's a Catch 22 I guess...
