There seems to be some apethy towards barefooting in most " hippy " forums / threads. I would have thought that they went " hand in hand " or should that be foot-by-foot. I am a barefooter over over 40 years and I've seen trends come and go. 55 yo now and still do my "passion ". I'll never stop my barefoot lifestyle for anyone until the day I die.
Among teens and younger, going barefoot was very common years before the word "hippie" came along. Spending the whole summer barefoot was common for many youths.
I guess the new hippies never barefooted long enough to build up their feet to handle it. Until I trained I never knew your feet change and barefooting doesn't feel the same in a few weeks as the first time you go more then 100 yards from the house without shoes. I will have to make a thread over there how to get hippie feet and explain it or post a link that does. Not now signing out. Maybe later.
