Learn to dumpster dive? Check the local soup kitchen (if you got one in the Labyrinth)? You can usually get a loaf bread even if you don't stay for the soupa doupa.
I had more meals than I could eat left at the end of this semester, so I invited a bunch of people to raid the Quiznos on campus. "I would like to pay for these 15 sandwiches please..." You should have seen the look on the cashier's face.
I used up all my dine dollars (i'm guessing thats equivalent to your meal points) like 2 and a half weeks before the semester was even over. It sucks.. good thing I still had a bit of groceries left at my apartment. I cancelled my meal plan for next semester, though. I would rather buy my own food then spend it on food that taste like shit at our college cafeteria/food court.
there are meal points for cafeterias and such, but then there is campus access, which is accepted at a number of restaraunts and delivery places in the area, as well as a few fast food places in the student union, which is only a two block walk from my dorm. i can still get more food, luckily, but not a lot more, and i'm trying to adjust my diet anyway, so i will MAYBE get one thing outside of what i already have
Yeah, school food always tastes like crap... I have to have a meal plan because it's covered by my scholarship... they do have some pretty good pre-made sushi though, which is pretty much all I eat.
my dorms cafeteria is usually pretty decent, for school food, and sometimes its just fucking GOOD but sometimes it's lousy. it's hit and miss, but in the end other dorms around here within walking distance have some fast-food type stuff which is pretty decent for what it is. never amazing, but edible. fried chicken, pizza, pasta, hamburgers and such. tacos.
my college's food was really good. southern california, though. huntington beach. bound to happen. you shoulda seen the public library. someone will feed you.
i know. i read that. but there's all kind of people like me out there who'd just love to stuff your face with some home cooking.
haha, i'd love it too, but i've done too much stuffing of my face for the past 2-3 years. i can live off my belly for a few days and i've been really good with eating far more reasonably lately, and i've often been a little bit hungry, but not extremely so, and not to the point where i give in. i'm afraid that during christmas break i'll eat a lot because a lot of good food will be around, and i'll be able to cook my own food (which usually ranges from as good as my parents' home cooking or better than it) i'm afraid i'll eat a lot, like i'm used to doing, and when i come back, i wont go back to my adjusted, healthier diet. i've been hungry the past few days, but not starving, and never sick from hunger. its the kind of hunger that happens because i'm eating less than i'm USED TO, not because i'm eating less than i need, you know?
